At Bayshore Elementary, our Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students had an exciting and uplifting pep rally designed to build confidence and motivation as they prepare for testing! Students were warmly encouraged by our principal, Mrs. Silas, and assistant principal, Mrs. Rivera, who shared positive words and reminded everyone to do their very best. Floresta Elementary Celebrates Earth Day

To celebrate Earth Day, all students at Floresta Elementary took part in a campus-wide cleanup focused on caring for their school and community. Partnering with Keep Port Saint Lucie Beautiful, students were provided gloves and guidance to safely collect litter around the campus. Each grade level was assigned a specific area, with classes rotating through scheduled cleanup times to ensure full coverage. Every student participated, discovering common items such as lollipop sticks, candy wrappers, pencils, erasers, Band-Aids, and small plastic pieces. Congratulations to Take Stock in Children graduating senior Juan Herrera on completing an incredible four-year commitment to the program! Performance Based Preparatory Academy Owl Pellet Dissection Lab

Science students from Ms. Paletti’s and Mr. Clarke’s classes recently explored a fascinating aspect of owl digestion known as casting. Through an engaging video presentation followed by hands‑on classroom instruction, students learned that not everything an owl eats is digested in the usual way.Owls swallow their prey whole, and the indigestible materials—such as bones, fur, feathers, and teeth—are compacted inside the owl’s gizzard. These materials are later regurgitated as a pellet. By carefully dissecting real owl pellets, students were able to identify skeletal remains and reconstruct the diets of owls, applying critical thinking and scientific observation skills.  This interactive lab … Read More
