Palm Pointe’s first-grade students wrapped up their intentional review unit with a fun and engaging Farm Day as they prepared for PM3 testing. The farm‑themed lessons brought learning to life as students created dirt cup desserts and designed animal pens, reinforcing key skills through hands‑on activities. Frances K. Sweet Elementary, in collaboration with the Department of Student Services & ESOL’s Parent Educators, recently hosted an engaging and interactive Math Quest & Data Fest Night, welcoming students and their families for an evening focused on building math skills, confidence, and connections. Third-graders had a ball bringing idioms to life today! Through creative costumes, props, and presentations, students showed they truly understood phrases that usually mean more than the words themselves. From “raining cats and dogs” to “piece of cake,” their interpretations were clever, colorful, and full of personality. Chef Roy from Roy’s Sushi Thai and Grill rolled into TCHS and brought the sushi skills with him! Our culinary students learned how to properly prep and roll classic California rolls—and the best part? They got to enjoy their own creations when they were finished! Fort Pierce Central High School seniors officially kicked off their final countdown to graduation during the school’s annual Senior Yearbook Signing Day, hosted by the Yearbook Staff. The much-anticipated event gave students their first full look at the completed yearbook, marking a major milestone in their senior year. Throughout the event, seniors gathered to collect, view, and sign each other’s yearbooks, filling the pages with messages, memories, and inside jokes that will last well beyond graduation. STOP and STEAM at Lakewood Park Elementary engaged all Kindergarten–5th grade students. Students worked cooperatively in minds-on, hands-on activities to communicate complex problems and propose solutions. Kindergarten and first-grade students explored animals of the Florida Everglades and created habitats for Everglades animals. Second-graders investigated sink-and-float concepts. Third-graders researched Everglades habitat problems and built bridges. Fourth-graders collaborated on the Save Fred problem-solving challenge. Fifth-graders examined human impact on the Everglades ecosystem by designing informative posters that shared research findings, solutions, and messages of environmental responsibility. All activities emphasized creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, communication, perseverance, and reflection. 

Oak Hammock K-8 wrapped up the school year’s PBIS celebrations with an exciting, school‑wide event that honored students who demonstrated The Osprey Standard. This final PBIS celebration was a joyful reminder of how positive choices, respect, and responsibility help our campus soar. Our youngest K-2 Ospreys enjoyed a high‑energy Glow Party, where pods were transformed with music and glowing fun. Laughter, smiles, and dancing filled the pods as students celebrated their positive behavior together in a safe and supervised indoor setting. Our 8th Grade “Reading Wizards” experienced a day of learning magic during Palm Pointe’s Harry Potter-themed ELA intentional review. Students rotated through all four Hogwarts Houses, engaging in spellbinding activities that strengthened key literacy skills. At each stop, they practiced reading comprehension, explored figurative language, practiced math word problems using systems of equations, built vocabulary and morphology, and tackled decoding word problems… all while fully immersed in the wizarding world. Fort Pierce Central High School is proud to announce that under the masterful direction of Mr. Elker Harris, the FPC Ambassador Choir received an invitation to and participated in the prestigious 2026 World Strides Heritage Festival in Atlanta and the Florida Vocal Association (FVA) State Level Performances, where they delivered outstanding results across multiple categories. SLWK8 proudly thanks Big Apple for hosting our Read to Succeed Night, an event that truly celebrated the joy of reading. Families gathered at Bayshore Big Apple Pizza to enjoy dinner while students read together and built a love for literacy.
