Treasure Coast High School Titan Theatre’s The Addams Family Shines This Season

Treasure Coast High School’s Titan Theatre program’s recent production of The Addams Family Musical proved to be a tremendous success, leaving audiences entertained and reaffirming the program’s commitment to artistic excellence and student growth. Presented as part of Titan Theatre’s season theme, “Welcome to the Unusual,” the show embraced individuality, creativity, and the joy of telling bold stories through live performance.
Directed by Jennifer Goodman, the musical marked a significant milestone for Titan Theatre. In her director’s note, Goodman emphasized why The Addams Family felt like the perfect fit for the season, noting its celebration of embracing differences and finding connection through the unexpected. Beneath the clever comedy and spooky exterior, the story offered surprising warmth and heart, resonating deeply with both performers and audiences alike.
The production process itself reflected the core values of theatre education. Throughout rehearsals, the cast and crew worked through challenges, adapted to obstacles, and supported one another with resilience and determination. Students demonstrated remarkable teamwork and perseverance, emerging from the experience stronger and more confident in their abilities.
From lively ensemble numbers to emotionally grounded character moments, students brought the beloved “creepy and kooky” family to life with energy and commitment. The production demanded strong vocal work, intricate choreography, and bold character choices, giving students the opportunity to grow artistically while taking meaningful creative risks.
Audience members responded enthusiastically throughout the show’s run at the Treasure Coast High School Auditorium, enjoying a production that balanced comedy, heart, and polished performance. Community support for the arts was evident, reinforcing the importance of theatre as a space for storytelling, collaboration, and student voice.
Ultimately, The Addams Family Musical stood as a shining example of what Titan Theatre strives to achieve: high‑quality productions that celebrate creativity, foster personal growth, and invite audiences to connect with stories that honor what makes each of us wonderfully unique.
Titan Theatre looks ahead to closing the season with “Spotlight,” its end‑of‑year theatre showcase celebrating the achievements of the entire program.
