Our students at Performance Based Prep Academy (PBPA) recently took a deep dive into the world of marine science with a field trip to the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. Nestled right in our backyard in Fort Pierce, this premier research center offered our group a front-row seat to world-class innovation.
With a community of nearly 200 scientists and researchers, Harbor Branch provided an incredible backdrop for our students to explore cutting-edge oceanography. From touring the beautiful facilities to learning about the vital research happening along our own Atlantic Coast, the day was filled with “aha!” moments. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with their hometown’s natural environment and the brilliant minds working to protect it!
