Lincoln Park sophomore Jonathan Geraghty out-performed 17 other divers to capture his first as well as Lincoln Park Academy’s first ever state champion gold medal. Jonathan took control beginning with his first dive and by his sixth dive knew he was on pace for the gold.
White City students are paying tribute to the members of the Armed Forces. As a part of their writing instruction, students wrote letters and made cards to send to the members of our Armed Forces. Students took time to express their care, concern, and gratitude for those who serve and protect this great nation.
On Wednesday, November 15th, sixth grade world history students stepped back in time by taking a field trip to the St. Lucie Regional History Center. Students were excited to be joined by the new FGMS principal for the 2017-2018 school year, Mrs. Monarae Miller-Buchanan, and many staff members. All enjoyed seeing and hearing about the early Ais Indians, the later Seminole Tribe, artifacts and displays from the fishing industry, commerce and the furnished Gardner House. Many thanks to the St. Lucie Historical Society and to Nancy, employees, and volunteer staff at the museum.

The event provided an opportunity for festival participants to learn about Hispanic heritage, their community, and share goodwill to those in Puerto Rico who are in need of support.
Students found out what it was like to be a nurse during a hospital tour at Tradition Medical Center in Port St. Lucie. For these Port St. Lucie High School students, a day in the life of a nurse was a valuable experience. Students at Southport Middle School celebrated World Kindness Day all week long. The National Junior Honor Society started each day with kindness quotes on the morning news show. They passed around kindness bracelets that included random acts of kindness. They also handed out kind cheerful notes to teachers and students throughout the week. The aroma of baked goods fills the air as families and friends gather for the holidays. The same thing is taking place in our schools as our staff and students teach and learn about the season’s traditions.
