The Jaguar Battalion has successfully completed the reconstruction of its Raider Obstacle Course thanks to the generous support of The Home Depot Foundation and the volunteer team from Home Depot Store #6376. The project was inspired by Raider Team Captain Felix Witkamp, whose vision to improve the Battalion’s training environment helped turn an idea into reality. Cadets worked alongside Home Depot volunteers Victor Catalano, Matthew Matlock, Niko, and Carlos to remove the aging course and construct a modern training facility that will serve Cadets for years to come. Lawnwood Leopards are off to a great start! Ms. White’s fifth-grade students are reading The Wild Robot and are off to a great start. Students are increasing their vocabulary skills, participating in writing tasks, and learning about the main characters and how they change throughout the story. As they read, they are developing a deeper understanding of character development and making connections between the characters’ experiences and the themes of the novel.
