Parenting Wisely

Beginning Wednesday, May 9th, The Parent Academy will offer Parenting Wisely –  a  free workshop for parents focused on building positive relationships and developing effective communication with your kids. Northport Eighth Graders To Tour Washington

Northport eighth graders have been given a wonderful opportunity to tour Washington, D.C. next year. Instructor Thomas McDonald is organizing this enlightening and educational trip for our students. Northport Lower Grades Rock Field Days

Northport second grade instructor Jennifer Lusardi and her class, along with students and teachers from VPK to grade five, participated in fun and energizing field days recently at Northport. The students loved the time playing games and competing for ribbons. According to campus participants, this was healthy, fun, and promoted positive interaction and socialization skills. The kids absolutely loved it! Many thanks to coaches, teachers and parents who made NP Field Days a success for the children.

Northport Engages in School-wide Young Author Program

Elaine Lawrence’s first graders proudly bring their Young Author books to the media center today. It was so difficult to pick the two best books to enter competition. ❤ Great job to children and teacher. At Northport, the entire school participates in the annual Young Authors program. The program brings joy to writing, a common language among teachers, students and parents and provides a time to have fun with words and illustrations. LPA Student’s Artwork Displayed at Dali Museum

LPA student Bradley Livingston, is a 10th grader whose artwork, “Lively Toes,” has been accepted for the Dali Museum’s Surrealist Art Exhibit in St. Petersburg, Florida.  His work will be displayed together with 100 juried works shown at “The Marvelous, the Fantastic & the Grotesque” Exhibition, May 19th – August 26, 2018.  Congratulations to Bradley Livingston on a job well done!    

LPA Creative Writers Achieve Top Honors

Students in Ms. Merritt’s Creative Writing Class at Lincoln Park Academy earned several awards in the Indian River State College Annual Creative Writing Contest. Students submitted one original work of writing in the poetry, drama, or short story category. The students’ work was judged by IRSC faculty members, and the awards were received on March 29th at the 2018 Creative Writing Contest Award Ceremony held at IRSC. Student Chefs Delight Attendees

Northport K8 and Port St. Lucie High School Culinary Teams delivered up gourmet tastes that delighted those who attended the Taste of St. Lucie Big Brothers Big Sisters event. Northport’s mini pineapple upside down cakes disappeared as fast as the Port St. Lucie High School’s Crawfish Bisque and Boom-Boom Wontons. Our student chefs were outstanding!

MSE Is Going To Odyssey of the Mind World Finals!!
