Creative Arts Academy Recruitment Night Wednesday, November 29th

Do have a student who wants to become a singer, dancer, musician, or artist? Then Creative Arts Academy is for you! As the only K-8 Fine Arts Magnet School in St. Lucie County, we hope you can join us on November 29th at 6:00 p.m. in our historic auditorium (1100 Delaware Avenue, Fort Pierce) for our Fine Arts Recruitment Night. Students and families will have an opportunity to hear from instructors and visit fine arts classrooms as well. Magnet School applications are now open for the 2024-25 school year. SLW Centennial Navy JROTC Provides Color Guard for Senior Pinning Ceremony

The SLW Centennial High School’s Navy JROTC “Black Talon” Navy Eagles Company participated in the SLW Centennial Senior Pinning Night Ceremony held at the school’s gymnasium on Thursday, November 9th, 2023.  They provided ushers to hand out ceremony programs as well as guide parents and visitors to their seats. Palm Pointe Talent Show a HIT!

Palm Pointe students had a talent show last week. We were so impressed with the variety of acts. Students, sang, acted, shared their comedic talents and much more.  Everyone did an amazing job! Our students are stars!

SWAT & Red Ribbon Week at Fort Pierce Central

SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco) sponsored by Mrs. McKenzie, promoted Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 23 – Oct. 27. Fort Pierce Central SWAT promotes saying NO to drugs and alcohol On Oct. 26th students signed pledges on a community banner, made and wore red ribbons, and posed for positive pictures!

St. Lucie West K8 Celebrates Influential Americans

Mrs. D’Andrea’s third-grade gifted class shared presentations of their research on Influential Americans. Students researched and created timelines using Microsoft PowerPoint. Students were able to practice presentation etiquette and enhance their active listening skills.

Palm Pointe “Starbooks” Cafe Book Tasting

Palm Pointe 7th grade ELA students did a “Starbooks” Haunted Cafe Book Tasting on October 31st. Students rotated around to tables with different genres that they have already experienced in class. Students “tasted” or previewed the books by rating the front and back covers, reading the first couple of pages, and giving it an overall rating. Additionally, students got to indulge in some tasty hot chocolate!

Jaguar Battalions Second Blood Drive

On Tuesday, November 14, the Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion conducted our second Blood Drive of the year. With the help of our Cadets, we were given an opportunity to help serve the people of Port Saint Lucie. Thanks to our Cadets, members of One Blood, and teachers here at Port Saint Lucie High School, we were able to get enough blood to save over 150+ lives. Also special thanks to our principal Ms. Nicole Telese and other teachers who donated.

CAST Animal Habitats

Second-grade students in Mrs. Bell and Ms. Simmons’ classes created animal habitats after studying about them during reading. As a culminating activity, both classes will present an animal report to our kindergarten and first-grade students. We can’t wait to listen to their presentations.

SLW Centennial NAVY JROTC Cleans Up the Community

Every month the SLW Centennial High School’s NJROTC “Black Talon” Navy Eagles Company performs “Adopt-A-Street” and “Campus Clean-up” operations on a one-and-a-half-mile section of Cashmere Boulevard as well as the SLW Centennial High School Campus. This tradition has been in place for over 16 years and has contributed to thousands of pounds a trash being removed from the streets and campus around SLW Centennial High School and it’s neighborhood. Lincoln Park Academy Violinist Giselle Cisneros Arana chosen for All State High School Honors Orchestra

Lincoln Park Academy is proud to announce that violinist Giselle Arana Cisneros, grade 10 has been selected to perform in this year’s Florida Orchestra Association All State High School Honors Orchestra in Tampa during the January Music Teachers’ Professional Development.  She will be performing with other students from the state in grades 9-12.  This makes it four years in a row that Giselle has been selected for All State!  The Lincoln Park Academy Orchestras are under the direction of Ms. Laura Hopkins.

Central’s Bowlers Compete at State!

All of Cobra Nation is proud of William Auriemma, Christian Whitte, and Coach Rymer of our Fort Pierce Central’s State Qualifying 2023 Bowling Team! The District only takes 2 single qualifiers each year and Central secured both spots. Congratulations Cobras!

Morningside Elementary’s Thanksgiving Day Literacy Parade!

Students in the third-grade enrichment MTSS class created their own Thanksgiving Day Parade. Students researched and wrote scripts, created their costumes, and brought in props. Then, students used a green screen to create their own version of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
