Chelsy Marie Alvaredo knows water conservation. The St. Lucie West Centennial High School 9th grader won the 2026 Drop Savers Poster Contest, hosted by St. Lucie County, in conjunction with the Florida Section American Water Works Association (FSAWWA). The annual contest encourages students in all grade levels to draw a poster with a water conservation message. Over 175 entries were received from students in 9 schools, and a winner was selected from each grade level.
