The SLW Centennial High School Eagle Regiment Band participated in the 35th Sights and Sounds Parade in Fort Pierce. The Band earned Best Musical Performance for Marching Bands. Congratulations EAGLES!
On December 6, 2023, the Legal Eagles Club from SLW Centennial High School went on a tour of the United States District Court in Fort Pierce. Hosted by Judge Shaniek Maynard, the students went from Intake, to the holding cells, to the Grand Jury room, to the Courtroom, and heard from a variety of speakers, including: U.S. Marshals, a Federal Prosecutor, a Federal Civil Attorney, Federal Public Defenders, Probation Officers, Court Deputies, a Law Clerk, and Judge Maynard herself. On October 5th, Mr. Nichols’s Criminal Justice 3 class at Centennial had guest speakers from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department visit them. Sgt. Billy Morash, Sgt. Woods, and Sgt. Richardson from the Criminal Investigation Unit, spoke with students about how the division is comprised, and what it takes to be a Crime Scene Investigator. The students had a great time and were able to ask questions throughout the program. We are very thankful for the support that we receive from our local Law Enforcement Agencies.
On Tuesday, October 3, SLW Centennial HOSA hosted a blood drive. The blood drive was a huge success! They were able to collect 75 pints with 11 of them being platelets! Overall, it was a great turnout, especially for the first one in years. The blood donations will help to save so many lives!!! Way to go EAGLES!
St. Lucie West Centennial High Nursing Assisting students are working hard towards their certification. They had a successful day at clinicals and will continue to reach for their goals. SLW Centennial High School has partnered with Port St. Lucie Rehab Center to give students hands-on experiences to help students further develop their skills. Go Eagles!!!
