Upper-level Culinary Arts students participated in the Fourth Annual District Showcase, where they competed in the Food Truck Entrepreneurial Competition. This year, the SLWCHS team presented a Caribbean-style food truck concept featuring creative, culturally inspired dishes representing a variety of countries throughout the Caribbean. Chelsy Marie Alvaredo knows water conservation. The St. Lucie West Centennial High School 9th grader won the 2026 Drop Savers Poster Contest, hosted by St. Lucie County, in conjunction with the Florida Section American Water Works Association (FSAWWA). The annual contest encourages students in all grade levels to draw a poster with a water conservation message. Over 175 entries were received from students in 9 schools, and a winner was selected from each grade level. The Fort Pierce Yacht Club Foundation welcomed students to its 4th Annual Chart Your Course maritime and marine industry career expo, held at the Fort Pierce Yacht Club and the River Walk Center.
