On April 24, the St. Lucie Public Schools District Office was transformed into a vibrant gallery showcasing the exceptional artistic talent of high school students from across the district during the St. Lucie County High School Juried Art Show. The annual exhibition celebrated student achievement in the visual arts and highlighted the creativity, skill, and dedication of young artists working in a wide range of media.
The exhibition was hosted by Fort Pierce Westwood Academy, whose students and faculty played a key role in making the evening a memorable success. Guests were welcomed with culinary presentations by Westwood’s Culinary Arts Department, led by Chef Gray. Adding to the atmosphere, music was performed by Fort Pierce Westwood band students under the direction of Mr. Read, creating a lively and engaging backdrop for the celebration.
Participating high schools included Fort Pierce Westwood Academy, St. Lucie West Centennial High School, Fort Pierce Central High School, Lincoln Park Academy, Treasure Coast High School, Port St. Lucie High School, and Legacy High School. Together, these schools showcased the depth and diversity of student artwork produced throughout St. Lucie County.
The juried exhibition featured student work in mixed media, digital design, painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, and photography. Each piece reflected the technical growth, artistic voice, and creative risk‑taking encouraged by the district’s visual arts programs.
