Treasure Coast High School students recently had an exciting opportunity to tour the campus of Florida International University (FIU). This visit allowed our students to explore the vibrant campus, learn about various academic programs, and get a glimpse of college life. A big thank you to FIU for hosting us and providing such a warm welcome. Our students returned with a wealth of knowledge and a renewed sense of motivation for their academic journeys ahead.

Cobra Nation Celebrates Honor Roll

Celebrating our academically excelling students is an honored tradition at FPC. Last week, Cobra Nation took time to recognize our outstanding Quarter 1 honor roll students with a memorable event. The Treasure Coast Food Bank has teamed up with Treasure Coast High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) student organization to make a significant impact in our community! TCHS 9th and 11th Graders Achieve Lifesaving Milestone with CPR Certification

According to the National Library of Medicine, bystander CPR can double or triple a person’s chance of survival during cardiac arrest! This week, the freshman and junior classes at Treasure Coast High School proudly completed their CPR certifications, equipping them with essential lifesaving skills. This achievement not only enhances their readiness to respond in emergencies but also contributes to a safer community. Mosaic Digital Academy Elementary Students Thrive on Live Day

Mosaic Digital Academy K-5 students thrived during their first “Live Day” of the year. Live Days consist of student-centered, hands-on learning opportunities that are in-person, giving students valuable opportunities to explore Math, ELA, and Science alongside their peers. Students in Mrs. Mimnaugh’s math classes engaged in standards-based problem-solving activities using Hands 2 Mind math manipulatives. Working collaboratively, students demonstrated productive struggle as they took ownership of grappling with math problems to find a solution. Palm Pointe First Graders Visit with Klutch

First Graders at Palm Pointe had the pleasure of hosting special visitors from the St. Lucie Mets—Mr. Traer Van Allen and their mascot, Klutch. They shared with our students how the St. Lucie Mets actively contribute to our community by supporting various local organizations. Treasure Coast High School ROTC Color Guard Honors Veterans

This past Monday, the Treasure Coast High School ROTC color guard proudly participated in two Veteran’s Day parades, showcasing their dedication and respect for our nation’s veterans. The cadets posted the colors and performed a flag folding ceremony. Their performance was a moving tribute, honoring the bravery and sacrifices of those who have served. Kindergarten Students at Oak Hammock K8 Learn about Voting During a Math Lesson

Kindergarten and 1st-grade students at OHK8 participated in a voting activity as they learned how to count tallies during math.  They stood in line to vote on a matter that was very meaningful to them, which food item they liked most, hamburgers or hotdogs. Each student had a laminated voter registration card to present to vote.  We talked about what it means to be a good citizen in our country.  After a long day at the polls, hotdogs won most votes. Sparking Legal Ambitions: State Attorney David Dodd Inspires TCHS Students

According to the Harvard School of Law, many students show interest in careers in law as early as their high school years. At TCHS, our criminal justice program offers engaging and enriching opportunities for students to connect with accomplished professionals in the field of law and criminal justice. On Thursday, Mr. David Dodd from the State Attorney’s office was our guest speaker for the criminal justice class. The Jaguar Battalion Continues to Save Lives

On Thursday, November 14th, 2024, the Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion conducted our first Blood Drive of the year. A total of 35 students, teachers, and staff contributed to help save 150+ lives to support the One Blood cause. The cadets that were chosen to help One Blood were assigned different roles, such as the two cadets checking in the students to make sure they were eligible to donate, the “runners” to go out and get the students from class, and lastly, the recovery room to watch and assist whoever donated. Lawnwood Families Attended Parent Conference Night

In honor of national parent involvement month, a parent conference night was held at Lawnwood Elementary School.  Teachers, students, and parents met to analyze progress monitoring data, review academic goals, and discuss strategies for improvement.  Parents also learned how to use Skyward to track their students’ academic growth, attendance, and behavior.  It was another awesome parent involvement event.  GO LEOPARDS!    

Soup-er Appreciation: Students ESE Spread Warmth Across the School

In a heartwarming display of gratitude, our self-contained students recently made delicious homemade chicken noodle soup and vegetable soup to share with teachers throughout the school. With a spirit of kindness, the students delivered their creations, spreading warmth both in flavor and in spirit. As they visited classrooms, they cheerfully wished each teacher to “have a soup-er day,” adding an extra touch of joy to the school day. Marine Marvels at Weatherbee Elementary

We’re thrilled to announce that St. Lucie Public Schools has partnered with Inwater Research Group to launch Marine Marvels: Bilingual Adventures in Marine Science. This NEW program introduces 4th-grade to bilingual role models in marine science, helping them grow their awareness about marine conservation topics and expand their communication skills about scientific concepts in both English and Spanish. West Gate K8 Sends Letters to Veterans

West Gate K8 first graders, third graders from Mrs. Jurek’s and Ms. Bowman’s class, and Mrs. Franklin’s 5th grade class, wrote to the Veterans on this past weekend’s Honor Flight to Washington DC. The amazing part of how stars aligned is that Alex Beck, a student in Mrs. Franklin’s class mentioned to her that he believed his grandfather would be on this exact flight and that he would love to surprise his grandfather with his thank you card. Such a gratitude lesson for our students in support of their service to our country.
