TCHS’s JROTC students visited Embry-Riddle University for their fourth-quarter CIA trip. During the visit, students explored the diverse range of classes and activities that the university offers. The experience was both enlightening and inspiring, as students discovered the various programs that make Embry-Riddle a leader in aviation and aerospace education. Our 11th-grade students recently took part in a United States History pod takeover, an intensive boot camp designed to prepare them for their upcoming End-of-Course (EOC) exam in May. At Treasure Coast High School, Ms. De Leon’s class recently completed a fun and engaging science lesson that had everyone excited about learning! The lesson began with a discussion on how materials undergo changes, sparking curiosity among the students. Ms. De Leon introduced the concept of how baking soda can be altered by different liquids, leading to an intriguing question: Which liquid will cause the most significant change in baking soda? To find the answer, the students conducted an experiment where they added various liquids—water, lemon juice, and vinegar—along with red food coloring to baking soda. Treasure Coast High School Jr. Reserved Officers Training Corps Cadets were selected to participate in the 2025 Sumer Flight Academy program. Cadets Nora Brant, Micheal Brant, and Juan Paez-Aguirre will represent Treasure Coast High School in the 2025 Summer Flight Academy program. This program is an 8-week program where cadets learn the flight principles and learn how to fly one-on-one with instructors. Upon successful completion, cadets may be eligible for their Private Pilot’s License. We are thrilled to announce that TCHS senior Zoe S. received a full scholarship through the Questbridge Scholarship program to attend Colby College in Maine. The Questbridge Scholarship program is an intensive process that begins in the student’s junior year and requires three levels of applications and elimination rounds. Zoe will be majoring in Performance, Theater, and Dance, with a minor in Cinema Studies. This field trip was not just an educational excursion but a deeply moving experience that brought historical concepts to life in a powerful way. This visit allowed our students to explore the vibrant campus, learn about various academic programs, and get a glimpse of college life. The Treasure Coast Food Bank has teamed up with Treasure Coast High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) student organization to make a significant impact in our community! Demonstrating remarkable dedication and teamwork, the FBLA students of TCHS, through their initiative Nick’s Necessities, successfully planned, packed, and distributed over 385 food bags to families in need. According to the National Library of Medicine, bystander CPR can double or triple a person’s chance of survival during cardiac arrest! This week, the freshman and junior classes at Treasure Coast High School proudly completed their CPR certifications, equipping them with essential lifesaving skills. This achievement not only enhances their readiness to respond in emergencies but also contributes to a safer community. This past Monday, the Treasure Coast High School ROTC color guard proudly participated in two Veteran’s Day parades, showcasing their dedication and respect for our nation’s veterans. The cadets posted the colors and performed a flag folding ceremony. Their performance was a moving tribute, honoring the bravery and sacrifices of those who have served. According to the Harvard School of Law, many students show interest in careers in law as early as their high school years. At TCHS, our criminal justice program offers engaging and enriching opportunities for students to connect with accomplished professionals in the field of law and criminal justice. On Thursday, Mr. David Dodd from the State Attorney’s office was our guest speaker for the criminal justice class. The Treasure Coast High School Dance Repertory Company attended the Day of Dance at the University of South Florida in Tampa. The dancers participated in collegiate-level dance classes taught by USF dance professors and danced alongside current dance majors and other Florida high school students.
