A remarkable 250 senior students from Port St. Lucie High School recently embarked on an enriching field trip to Indian River State College (IRSC), immersing themselves in the vibrant campus environment. This hands-on experience provided invaluable insights into college life, allowing students to explore the campus facilities and envision their potential future as college students. A key focus of the visit was the PROMISE program, which offers two years of free tuition, a significant incentive for aspiring college attendees. Students received direct support in completing their applications for this valuable program, as well as crucial assistance with their general college applications and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This vital partnership between PSLHS and IRSC provides students with exceptional opportunities for post-secondary success. The PSLHS Guidance Department deserves immense credit for their outstanding work in organizing this event and ensuring the Class of 2025 was fully engaged and prepared to maximize this valuable opportunity.
