Youth Art Month is a celebration of the Visual Arts that showcases the creativity of our youth.  During the month of March, we direct attention to the value of art education for teaching students critical thinking skills. Criminal Justice Students Explore Public Safety Complex

The Criminal Justice 1 students of SLW Centennial High School got to go on an educational field trip to Indian River State College (IRSC), where they visit the Public Safety Complex. The trip provided the students with an invaluable opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and gain practical insights into various aspects of public safety and law enforcement. Over 500 Forest Grove students attended a PBiS Pep Rally and Assembly to celebrate their positive behavior! Over 700 students on our campus have not received a discipline referral this school year!!! We were excited to welcome the Westwood Academy basketball team, cheerleaders, marching band, and dance team to celebrate our wonderful students! Village Green Commits To Keeping Our Community Clean

Village Green’s Student Council members, supporting 5th graders and their parents/guardians, joined the Annual Caring Community Cleanup Day that was held- Saturday, April 5th, 2025.  The cleanup commenced at City Hall with breakfast and orientation, then volunteers dispersed to their chosen location.  As a group, we agreed that charity starts at home, and therefore we chose Leonard Road and areas around our school to clean.  It was hot, but the volunteers did not succumb to the heat, we persevered by having fun and enjoying each other’s company. Manatee Academy K-8: 2025 Taylor’s Teddy Bear Drive

Last month, Manatee Academy K-8 held its 2025 Taylor’s Teddy Bear Drive. Taylor’s Teddy Bears is a nonprofit organization founded in memory of Taylor Wade Bishop, who tragically lost his life in a plane accident on March 15, 2021. In honoring Taylor’s compassionate spirit, the organization seeks to bring comfort to children in distress by providing teddy bears to first responders. These small, comforting gifts are intended to be distributed by firefighters, police officers, and sheriff deputies to children they encounter in crisis situations. School Counselor Lilias Batchelor has organized an Afterschool Boys Club for boys in Grades 3-5 at Lawnwood Elementary School. The 8th-grade students in Mr. Fess’ Northstars STEM class are preparing for the future. These students recently completed the ICT Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course, which culminated in an Industry Certification Exam. Through two rounds of testing, 100% of NorthStars 8th graders were able to become certified in Artificial Intelligence. The Jaguar Battalion’s 31st Annual Award Ceremony

On Thursday, March 27th, 2025, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion held its 31st Annual Award Ceremony. The purpose of this award ceremony was to award deserving Cadets for their service, loyalty, personal appearance, character, and knowledge of JROTC, as well as their outstanding achievements in and outside of the program. Select Cadets were recognized by different Veteran organizations such as MOAA, Vietnam Veterans of America, Korean War Veterans, etc…More awards are also given to the cadets during the company.  The ceremony was a success as there were 38 awards given to honorary cadets for their outstanding achievements.
