Hands-on experiences like these help students connect science to the real world—understanding how animals adapt to their habitats, how ecosystems stay in balance, and how our choices impact the environment we share. A huge thank-you to our visiting wildlife scientist from Oxbow for bringing the wonders of nature to life! Our Mosaic students are definitely inspired to protect our planet and the creatures who call it home. #MosaicOwls #LegendaryLearning #OxbowEcoCenter #STEMinAction #VirtualLearningInTheWild

Mrs. Taufa’s Geometry Class Solves Real-World Problem

Mrs. Taufa’s Geometry Class just completed a unit of study on Transformations. They learned that a transformation is a manipulation of a geometric shape or formula that maps the shape or formula from its preimage, or original position, to its image, or after-transformation position. Mosaic Owls took this knowledge into Virtual Reality to solve a real-world problem. Our Real-World Problem: Most of us don’t think about where the food we eat actually comes from.
