Palm Pointe Rockets Shoot for the Stars with STEM Projects

Palm Pointe sent 10 students to participate in the Regional STEM Fair.  The students presented their projects to three different judges and they were graded on a rubric that laid out all the criteria for the projects.  They presented in different categories and on a variety of topics.  In addition to gaining knowledge on the topic they presented, they learned life skills including meeting deadlines, presenting to others, and working through problems.  Our students did an amazing job, and we are so proud of them. Mosaic Digital Academy Students Participate in the Innovative “Build a Change” Project to Promote Sea Turtle Conservation Efforts and Environmental Awareness Students in grades K-2 engaged in the “Build a Change” project, where they collaborated to brainstorm ideas for supporting sea turtle conservation. Bayshore’s Community Reading Day Celebration

We had an amazing time celebrating Literacy Week at Bayshore Elementary! One of the highlights was the Community Reading Day, where special guest readers from our community joined us to read to the students. St. Lucie West K8’s Magnificent Math Night at Publix

St. Lucie West K-8 Math Night for K-5th grade was amazing! Students had a Fin-Tastic time walking through the aisles of Publix, exploring different departments, and solving real-world math problems. It was a fun, hands-on experience that truly brought learning to life. Students thoroughly enjoyed solving problems with their teachers, friends, staff, and our Proud Principal, Mr. Lezeau! It was a wonderful way to bring our families of Shark Nation and community together to emphasize the importance of mathematics in our everyday lives. Palm Pointe Celebrates Literacy Week

To kick off literacy week at Palm Pointe, Mrs. Baise’s kindergarten class and Mrs. Garcia-Herrera’s sixth-grade class paired up to read together! The sixth-graders helped the younger students illustrate the book’s cover and a favorite scene from each story. Village Green’s Fun Science Mini Lab

A mini study focusing on natural selection and competition was carried out in Dr. Venzen’s 5th-grade Science classroom. The characteristic that student scientists explored was adaptation. Upcoming scientists were made aware that adaptation to an environment is not solely based on the seasons. The food items students used were black beans, popcorn seed, lima beans, small red beans, and large red beans.
