The ‘YMEDACA’ LPA National Honor Society has completed yet another successful road-cleaning! Every early dismissal of every month NHS heads on over to Midway Road to participate in these cleanups. On January 17th, students from all 6 comprehensive high schools and Mosaic Digital Academy competed against each other in a rigorous academic competition testing their academic prowess! To celebrate the academic success of our Manatees, Village Green Environmental Studies School threw a Pajama Growth Party for those students who showed growth on their iReady Math and Reading Diagnostics. St. Lucie Elementary and the Department of Student Services partnered with the Treasure Coast Food Bank to host a pop-up market. Lincoln Park Academy Wind Symphony members Michael Ferrara (10th), Olivia Ganeto-Pressley (11th), Lucas Huang (10th), Jeno Retutal (11th), and Nash Barcelona (9th) had the incredible honor of performing in the University of Miami Frost Honor Band.Ā The Frost Honor Band Festival brings approximately 150 talented high school instrumentalists from the State of Florida to the University of Miami Frost School of Music for two days of rehearsals, master classes by Frost School artist faculty, and a final concert.Ā Their hard work and passion were on full display as they represented Lincoln Park Academy with pride.Ā CongratulationsĀ to these members of the LPA Wind Symphony!

Shark Nation Super Bowl Fraction Review

St. Lucie West K8 third-graders were pumped for the Super Bowl! Mrs. D’Andrea and Mrs. Schettini’s third-grade AMP Math classes had a Super Bowl-themed Fraction Review Day. Students teamed up to go head-to-head in various fraction-based activities. They rotated around the room to compete individually and to work in teams. Not only were students cooperatively learning to solve real-world math problems, but they were able to show their team spirit as well! Our proud principal, Mr. Lezeau even joined in on the fun!
