Fairlawn’s Fifth Graders Bootcamp

Fifth-grade students at Fairlawn Elementary participated in a science boot camp to prepare for their upcoming state science test. Students took part in hands-on experiments and enjoyed healthy competition against one another. Best of luck on your test, we know you will rock it!

LPA Spring Centennial Career Expo

The Lincoln Park Academy Spring Centennial Career Expo was such an amazing event. Twenty-three former graduates were featured and also shared their expertise with our high school students. Students were able to converse with our LPA Alumni about the educational requirements for their career, the pros and cons that come along with their job, and also what they love most about their career. It was such a joy to see our former graduates shine! The day was an absolute success!             +      

Saturday with a Scientist: A Fun and Educational Day at IRSC!

On April 27th and May 4th, fifth-grade students from various elementary schools in St. Lucie County had an exciting opportunity to participate in the Saturday with a Scientist event hosted by Indian River State College. Let’s take a quick look at what they experienced. Planetarium Exploration: The students gathered at the planetarium, where they learned about the vastness of our universe, constellations, and the wonders of space. MSE Teams Up with PSLHS

Second-grade students at Morningside Elementary, in partnership with the Port St. Lucie Drama Department, present Reader’s Theater. During the past six weeks, MSE students received direction from PSLHS drama students. A love for literacy was promoted through a passion for the fine arts. West Gate K8 Enhances Literacy for All

West Gate K-8’s Literacy team partnered with PBIS to purchase a book vending machine for our Mustangs! Students will exchange PBIS bucks for a literacy coin to purchase a book! The Jaguar Battalion Takes a Trip to Aquatica

On Saturday April 27th, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion conducted our yearly end-of-the-year trip to Aquatica in Orlando, Florida. The cadets stayed overnight in a hotel and left on Sunday, April 28th. Cadets spent a day riding popular rides like the “KareKare Curl” and “RayRush”. The cadets dined at many fabulous restaurants such as “Waterstone Grill” and “Mango Market”. UFLI at Lakewood Park Elementary

Ready, Set, GLOW! SharkNation students had a blast at our PBIS Glow Dance. Their neon energy and smiles illuminated the gym as they danced and enjoyed time with their friends and teachers!

Lawnwood’s Leopard of the Month Assembly

FPC Key Club Attends Conference

   Fort Pierce Central High School Key Club members attended their District Conference for the first time in the club’s history. The Florida District Education and Leadership Conference (DCON) is the culmination of the Key Club year and was held in Daytona, Florida for 4 days. This annual event is attended by over 2,000 students and chaperones from clubs all over Florida and the Caymon Islands. DCON features educational workshops for club members and advisors, caucusing and election of district officers, endorsements of international candidates, motivational speakers, social events, and individual and club awards. Students at Oak Hammock K8 Enjoy a PBiS Celebration

Students at Oak Hammock K8 School participated in an after school PBiS event. To participate in this activity, students had to have earned 10 Osprey dollars and have no referrals for an allotted period. Students enjoyed dancing, a tattoo station, arts and crafts, pizza, and cupcakes. A good time was had by all who participated.

Students in 3rd – 5th grade have started a unit entitled What Can AI Do? They will be exploring a variety of AI technologies to establish a strong foundational knowledge about what AI is, how AI works, and how AI technologies might be used to help people. Students will be exploring several examples of AI programs to consider what tasks AI does well and which tasks AI does not do well.
