Honoring Our Heroes: SLW Centennial Celebrates Military Service

Today, SLW Centennial High School was a sea of camouflage as staff and students dressed to honor the brave men and women who have served or continue to serve in the military. The day began with heartfelt announcements recognizing staff members who have served, highlighting their years of dedication and sacrifice.

During lunchtime, students had the unique opportunity to interact with several service members who shared valuable information about military life and careers. The ROTC cadets delivered a special presentation, showcasing their discipline and commitment, while the school band filled the courtyard with patriotic tunes, adding to the day’s celebratory atmosphere.

Adding to the day’s special events, the Army staff generously provided lunch for our staff from Chick-Fil-A and presented gifts to our teachers who have served and continue to serve in the military.

This event not only paid tribute to our veterans and active service members, but also educated and inspired students about the importance of military service. It was a memorable day of respect, learning, and community spirit at SLW Centennial.
