Fort Pierce Central High School’s Cobra Pals hosted a warm and welcoming “Wanna Be My Palentine?” event designed to promote friendship, inclusion, and student connection. Cobra Pals, a club focused on bringing students of all abilities together, created an environment where everyone could comfortably participate. Fairlawn Elementary Builds Big with Valentine’s Day Sticky Structures

Fairlawn Elementary’s second graders put their engineering skills to the test during a fun and creative STEM activity called “Valentine’s Day Sticky Structures!” Students used heart-shaped fruit snacks and toothpicks to complete 12 different shape-building challenges. From triangles and squares to more complex geometric designs, students carefully constructed each shape while learning about stability, angles, and teamwork. Oak Hammock Ospreys Take Flight During Elementary PE

During Elementary PE at Oak Hammock K-8, Coach Branim guided our Ospreys through a series of exciting Winter Olympics–themed activities designed to build teamwork, sportsmanship, and overall physical fitness. Students rotated through speed skating, curling, and skiing challenges, each one encouraging them to stay active while proudly representing our Osprey spirit. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as students supported one another, celebrated successes, and embraced friendly competition. Many shared that it was the most fun they had ever experienced in PE, highlighting how meaningful and memorable the event was. The day truly showcased collaboration, effort, and joy in movement.

Fairlawn Elementary Kindergarten Welcomes a Special 4-H Visit

Kindergarten students at Fairlawn Elementary recently enjoyed a very special visit from our local 4-H club! The excitement filled the room as Ms. Candy introduced two adorable animal friends — Mario the guinea pig and Bowser the bunny. There were lots of smiles, giggles, and wide eyes as students had the chance to see the animals up close and learn all about them. Culinary Students at the PSL Citizens Summit

Culinary Arts students from Port St. Lucie High School and Northport K-8 cooked and served the community at the PSL Citizens Summit. Northport student creations were fabulous, delicious, and included chocolate-banana parfaits, wild berry parfaits, chicken and waffles, espresso and blueberry donuts, and blueberry waffle cupcakes. While Port St. Lucie High School student dishes were delicious and a huge hit, Chipotle BBQ Chicken, Pickled Red Onion, Queso Fresca, and House Crema tacos. Students in Ms. Velazquez’s science classes turned learning into action as they designed racetracks to explore speed, distance, and time. Using their knowledge of potential and kinetic energy, students built tracks with loops and tested how much kinetic energy their cars needed to successfully complete the course. Their investigations didn’t stop there—students also explored how energy moves through transverse and longitudinal waves. Palm Pointe K‑8 has once again shown what it means to serve the community with heart, teamwork, and a little friendly competition. This year, students and staff participated in the school’s Souper Bowl Challenge, an initiative designed to “tackle hunger” by collecting non‑perishable food items for local families in need. Using a hexagon thinking strategy, students compared how Meg and Buck face challenges related to the theme of survival. FK Sweet’s MOA Program Dives Into Lagoon Learning with FAU

FK Sweet’s MOA Discovery Program kicked off their first session with FAU Harbor Branch. The session introduced students to lagoon habitats and wildlife by utilizing scientific tools, examining specimens, and demonstrating how the concepts introduced in the classroom relate to marine science research. Students investigated seagrass beds, mangroves, oyster reefs, and the diverse array of animals that depend on them.
