The Arts Dept. presented a phenomenal Winter Concert in the Forest Grove Gym. We’re extremely proud of our talented students and dedicated Band, Chorus, and Art teachers. Participation in athletics and extracurricular programs at Forest Grove Middle School is on the rise! SY25 has already brought us an exciting girls’ volleyball season and our intramural soccer team advanced to the second round wrapping up a competitive run at a championship. St. Lucie West K8 Celebrates Dr. King’s vision of unity to construct a 1st Place Float! Students and teachers came together to build a float to showcase the shark spirit with the parade theme “Change Begins with Me.” Teachers came before and stayed late after school, even giving their weekend to build the float for the January 20th Parade in Ft. One hundred students from Port St. Lucie High School attended the District Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) College Fair held at the district office on January 23rd, 2025. The college fair facilitated on-the-spot acceptances and scholarship offers to several students, highlighting the valuable connections made between students and higher education institutions. The second-grade students at Lakewood Park Elementary are learning everything that they can by giving 100% effort, believing in themselves, and working collaboratively. Fort Pierce Central honored more than 560 students who achieved significant learning gains on their ELA PM2 assessment! These dedicated students demonstrated the growth targets needed to show academic progress. Lincoln Park Academy Orchestras are proud of Giselle Arana Cisneros and Sophia Leeflang, who recently took part in the Florida Orchestra Association All-State High School and Middle School Orchestras in Tampa. These musicians made it through rigorous rounds of auditions in September, in addition to re-seating auditions. On Monday, January 20th, 2025, The Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion participated in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade. This parade aimed to showcase Martin Luther King’s importance and accomplishments. Nearly 150 cadets attended and marched at this parade for 2 miles. The color guard presented the colors, cadets marched with the battalion colors, marched with the state flags and cadets held the banner leading not only the Jaguar battalion but the Port St. Lucie High School. On January 21st, 5th grade students with 97% attendance (2 days or less absent) or better and no referrals in Quarter 2, were blessed with a grand, catered luncheon and gift bags by Chef Tamesha Hamilton-Spivey.
