VGESS Honors The Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Congratulations to Village Green’s Martin Luther King Jr. Parade Committee, led by ESE specialist, Mrs. Sykes, who took first place in this year’s parade celebration! Village Green’s float theme was “The Change Begins With Me.” Village Green’s strong teamwork was on full display as we came together to deliver a truly spectacular performance. Students performed a song and dance to the famous Michael Jackson song “Man in the Mirror.” The float has a beautiful garden to represent Village Green and in between two of the trees was a mirror where two students stood. The back of the float read “The Change Begins With Me and Together We Are World Changers.” A heartfelt Thank You goes to Mrs. Sykes for leading the committee and to all of the teachers, staff, students, and parents for making the MLK Parade an unforgettable experience!
