On February 27, 2026, the Jaguar Battalion conducted its annual flag retirement ceremony, a cornerstone tradition dedicated to the dignified disposal of unserviceable American flags. The process began with a coordinated collection effort from January 14th  to January 28th, during which designated Cadets and their respective Company Commanders gathered flags from predetermined neighborhoods located near Port St. Lucie High School. Following congressional recommendations for respectful decommissioning, the collected flags were carefully separated into their original colors—red, white, and blue—before being committed to the fire. A Day of Discovery and New Beginnings at Morningside Mrs. Eibl’s 2nd graders brought their Life Cycles study to life as they watched tiny chicks hatch right in their classroom. Through hands-on embryology, students carefully observed each stage of development, recorded their findings in journals, and asked thoughtful questions that showed growing understanding. They were excited to see science unfold before their eyes and make real-world connections. Once the chicks arrived, the class proudly chose names for their new feathered friends. The day blended curiosity, responsibility, and joy, creating a memorable learning experience that the students will never forget.  

Fairlawn Elementary proudly hosted student-led conferences for students in grades 2–5 last week, creating a meaningful opportunity for families to engage in their child’s learning journey. Parents and guardians were invited into classrooms where students confidently took the lead, showcasing their hard work, academic progress, and personal growth. Southport Middle School recently enjoyed a wonderful evening of community partnership during Tip‑A‑Teacher Night at Texas Roadhouse. Students, families, staff members, and local patrons came together to support SPMS, creating an atmosphere filled with school pride and generosity. Ms. Selinsky’s 7th-grade accelerated math students brought geometry to life through an exciting Dance Dance Revolution–themed lesson focused on identifying and applying angle relationships.
