Shark Nation kicked off spring with our annual Carnival! Student Council did an extraordinary job planning this incredible event! Clubs and grade levels set up fantastic booths with games, raffles, food, and fun. The foam party, bounce houses, dunk tank, and petting zoo were a hit!    

Floresta’s fifth-grade dolphins had a fin-tastic time at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute.  Students were fascinated while seining along the Indian River Lagoon exploring marine life up close.

Third graders at Village Green Environmental Studies School enjoyed an educational and fun field trip at the Kennedy Space Center. They spent the day touring the Visitor Complex where they learned about authentic NASA science, technology, engineering, and math! Our students came face-to-face with Space Shuttle Atlantis and they learned about some of NASA’s very own Heroes and Legends while exploring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame. Students, teachers, and chaperones had an out-of-this-world experience during the behind-the-scenes NASA tour. It was a great experience for all!

Savanna Ridge Elementary students participated in a STEM vocabulary parade this week. Students created posters and costumes to illustrate their vocabulary word. Families were invited to attend the parade and enjoy all of the student creativity.

Students, teachers, and community members came together to celebrate math at the Publix at Rivergate Plaza this past week. Families and friends of Morningside supported students by completing a scavenger hunt where students had to answer math questions based on the different items in the Publix store. It was a wonderful community experience held by our math committee. Way to shine, bluejays!

 NJHS got a chance to learn all about advocacy. Members learned how to self-advocate for their personal ideas or beliefs. Members were also given insights on what it takes to advocate for a city and push for change.  📢💬 #AdvocacyRocks #MeetingTheMayor #CommunityVoice

Three of Morningside Elementary’s Odyssey of the Mind teams competed at the state tournament last weekend. We are so proud of all of our teams for representing our school well. Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving competition where students completely take the lead and create the sets, props, costumes, and even the script without adult intervention. These teams work all year long to create a solution for one of the problems presented. Thank you, Texas Roadhouse, for an amazing 2nd grade field trip! Students were able to learn about various jobs and tasks performed in a restaurant, tour their kitchen facility, create their own tasty rolls, learn how to line dance, AND enjoy some delicious food.

Introducing The Charlie Cart Program, made possible by Publix Super Market Charities, that rolled out at our Morningside Elementary Club! We are thrilled to introduce this groundbreaking opportunity for youth empowerment and healthy living, designed to provide hands-on learning experiences, changing how our youth approach nutrition and culinary skills. With a focus on accessible ingredients and practical cooking techniques, this program will equip our members with the knowledge and confidence to make healthy choices on any budget! Attendance Matters at Lawnwood Elementary School.  K-5 students who met the Jan/Feb Attendance Goal of 92% were eligible to attend a MAGIC SHOW!  The magician was amazing, and it was another GREAT day at Lawnwood. Students are strongly encouraged and rewarded for coming to school, arriving on time, and remaining in school for the entire school day.  GO LEOPARDS!

On March 27th, the Treasure Coast High School ROTC FL-20081 staff flight was visited by Mr. Brett and Mr. Dewey from Stuart to present us with a $3,000 check for our participation as volunteers at the 2023 Stuart Airshow. This is an annual event that our unit participates in every year. Titan Born, Titan Bred!

Bayshore students had an opportunity to participate in a fun game of BINGO.  This schoolwide PBIS event was a blast!!!      

Palm Pointe students in grades K-5 raised money for the American Heart Association through the Jump Rope for Heart organization. Palm Pointe’s top fund-raisers got to slime their P.E coach Mr. Santoro. Our heart heroes raised $5,123.00 for the cause! Way to go Rockets!

At the 2024 Florida State Thespian Festival, troupe 6958 brought 8 individual events to compete with, and a one act. They came home with four excellents, four superiors, and top honors for their one act. 6958 got the pleasure of watching three main stages, watch other schools pieces, and take different workshops with Broadway professionals. Overall State Festival was an incredible learning experience for everyone who attended. LPA Theatre had an outstanding time at the state festival and can’t wait until next year!

We are so proud of all of our Bulldogs who represented Forest Grove at the St. Lucie Public Schools National History Fair this year. These students put a lot of hard work into their History Day projects and their work paid off.
