St. Lucie West Centennial High School’s track team delivered an outstanding performance at the St. Lucie County Track Championship. The boys’ team emerged as SLC Champions, while the girls’ team secured the runner-up position. The track team showcased the depth of talent and dedication among the athletes. The boys’ team had several first-place winners: Giovani Jean-Pierre dominated the sprints, winning the 100m and 400m events. The St. Lucie Education Foundation, Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County, and The Fort Pierce Rotary Club visited Lawnwood Elementary and provided a dictionary for every second-grade student. Our students will benefit from this generous donation of brand-new student dictionaries and free passes to the Manatee Center. FPWA Graduate Wins Gold At The Special Olympics in Italy

Fort Pierce Westwood wanted to share the news of Cody Wheatly, a 2020 Fort Pierce Westwood Academy graduate, that won the GOLD medal in figure skating while representing the Special Olympics Team USA at the 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy!  While at Fort Pierce Westwood Academy, Cody competed on the local Special Olympics team. Bayshore Elementary’s first grade has embarked on an exciting new unit about 2 and 3-dimensional shapes! To introduce this fascinating topic, Mrs. Jones’ class spent time engaging in a hands-on activity with playdough.
