2024 District Social Studies Fairs

Students across the county researched historical topics and public policy issues in their secondary social studies classrooms.  Schools selected their top projects to advance to the district competitions to represent their schools.  February 23rd was the 32nd annual History Day fair in which 93 middle and high school students were invited to the district office to showcase a historical research project.  Their topics aligned with this year’s national theme of Turning Points in History and were displayed in either an exhibit, website, documentary, performance, or research paper format.  On March 8th, 59 middle school Civics students were invited to the … Read More

2023 Gutterman Family Outstanding Holocaust Educator Award

Treasure Coast High School is proud to announce that Robert Grundstrom has been selected to receive the 2023 Gutterman Family Outstanding Holocaust Educator Award from the Arthur and Emalie Gutterman Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education at Florida Atlantic University. 2023 Career Connect Conference

The 2023 Career Connect Conference was a success with 295 St. Lucie Public School students registered for this event.  This conference included high schools from all over the Treasure Coast.  The Career Connect Conference was an event offering exposure to young adults preparing to enter the workforce or post-secondary educational institutions.  The goal was to create awareness and spark students’ interests through hands-on, interactive, and engaging sessions.  The industry sectors included entrepreneurship, hospitality, healthcare, construction & skilled trade, technology, and manufacturing.

2022 SLPS College Fair Has a Robust Turnout

The 2022 SLPS College Fair was November 3, 2022, at the Havert L. Fenn Center. This was the first in-person college fair in over two years, and it did not disappoint. We had over 50 college, university, and military representatives in attendance as well as almost 1,000 SLPS students. The evening also included two information sessions for students and parents to attend: FAFSA 101 hosted by IRSC and Scholarships 101 hosted by SLPS. 2022 Field Day Legacy Owl Trophy Winner!

On Friday, April 22nd, 2022, Mosaic Digital Academy 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students participated in the school’s first annual Field Day event. Teachers, students, and families gathered at McChesney Park to participate in Earth Day-themed events such as the Water Savers Race, Save the Endangered Wood Stork Egg Challenge, and the Pizza Box Recycle Relay. Field Day classics like the Potato Sac and Wheelbarrow Races were also entertaining and competitive challenges for owl students. 2021 Ready to Work Boot Camp Kick-off with Economic Development Council

The 2021 Ready to Work Boot Camp Informational session hosted by Jill Marasa with the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie and St. Lucie Public School’s Career and Technical Education department was a virtual event.  This session included interested graduating high school seniors within St. Lucie Public Schools desiring employment immediately upon graduation in manufacturing and engineering industry sectors.

2018 Graduate Making It Happen

Nigel Johnson, a 2018 Fort Pierce Central High School (FPCHS) graduate, is making the most of his summer before beginning his collegiate journey this fall. Having already demonstrated his with-it-ness in organizing events that support opportunities for individuals to to be heard with the success of FPCHS’s Speak Week, Johnson most recently supported the organization and awareness of a millennial forum last week in Port St. Lucie.  The event, attended by hundreds was yet another testament to this graduate’s skill and passion for socially responsible advocacy. 2018 Freshman Open House

On March 1, 2018, the Jaguar Battalion participated in the Freshman Open House at Port St. Lucie High School. The Battalion hosted a color guard composed of four cadets: c/1SG Kalinowski, c/CPT Harris, c/MAJ May, and c/CPL Garcia. Furthermore, the Battalion was able to recruit a multitude of promising new cadets for next school year.
