On Friday, September 19, 2025, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion participated in the POW/MIA ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park to pay tribute to Prisoners of War (POW) and those Missing in Action (MIA). Students at Southport Middle School gained essential life-saving skills by learning how to perform CPR. Certified Legal Assistant students were invited to attend a Civil Discourse Session at the federal courthouse in Fort Pierce. Students learned about civil discourse and interacted with local attorneys, court staff, and a circuit judge. They also learned about different careers in the legal field and different areas of the law they could practice in. Weatherbee’s 5th Grade is Over the Moon

Mrs. Maxwell’s 5th grade science class at Weatherbee Elementary tackled moon phases this week.  The students got hands-on to learn about moon phases, using models they created out of Oreos.  They represented each phase of the moon as they discussed the transitions as well as the Earth’s movement, including rotation and revolution.  From 1st quarter moon, to waxing and waning crescent moons, the student’s understood how the moon and sun’s positions affect us all. On September 17, 2025, the Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion hosted its first Blood Drive of the year, making a significant impact by helping save over 132 lives in collaboration with OneBlood. A total of 44 students, teachers, and staff members participated in the event. Cadets were assigned different roles to ensure the blood drive ran smoothly.
