SPMS Hosts Their First PBIS Event of the Year

Southport Middle School held its first PBIS event on Friday to reward students with no referrals for the past few weeks. Eligible students were able to choose from a variety of fun activities, including board games, arts and crafts, a movie room, gym free time, outdoor play, and tech games. This event was designed to recognize and encourage positive behavior, giving students a chance to relax and enjoy themselves. 5th Grade PBIS Kickball Fun at CAST

CAST fifth-grade teachers and students “kicked” off our September PBIS events with a kickball game. Fort Pierce Westwood Veterinary Assisting CTE Update

Our students have been off to a busy start this year. Local veterinarians Dr. Adams and Dr. Smith from Midway Veterinary Hospital visited to perform annual exams on our classroom cats, giving students hands-on experience with physical exams. We also kicked off our Panther Paws Friday Pup Spa Days, where staff bring their dogs for baths, grooming, and playtime. SLW Centennial has been hosting college visits for students to learn about colleges and universities.  Students have attended assemblies to learn about Florida State University, University of South Florida, University of Miami, University of Central Florida, University of Florida, NOVA, and Florida Southern College. The information sessions provide a structured opportunity for students to learn about academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, campus life, and career pathways. First-grade students at Allapattah Flats K-8 have been joyfully exploring Hispanic Heritage Month! Creative Arts Academy of St. Lucie welcomed new members into the Florida Junior Thespian Society, an honorary organization for middle school students (grades 6-8) who participate in theatre arts programs. SLW Centennial Students Caught Having Fun In History Class

Students in Mr. Swalwell’s World History class are currently preparing for their first vocabulary test, which focuses on key terms related to the Byzantine Empire and Arab Civilizations. To help reinforce their understanding, students worked collaboratively in small groups, actively matching vocabulary words with their correct definitions. This interactive approach encouraged discussion and peer learning. A Future in Science: Path from Biotech to Biology

Kelsey is currently dual-enrolled in the AICE program. She is on track to complete her associate’s degree in general biology through IRSC in the spring and is part of the Biotechnology Academy at Treasure Coast High School. She is in the third year of the program, with an emphasis on molecular biology, following a year of study in agricultural science. Learning About Geology at Creative Arts Academy of St. Lucie

Sixth-grade science students at CAST recently brought geology to life through a creative and engaging classroom project that modeled the layers of the Earth. Led by their science teacher, Ms. Jill Albers, students used everyday materials to construct a tactile representation of Earth’s internal structure, deepening their understanding of one of science’s most fundamental concepts. Jaguar Battalion Takes Place in POW/MIA Ceremony

On Friday, September 19, 2025, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion participated in the POW/MIA ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park to pay tribute to Prisoners of War (POW) and those Missing in Action (MIA).
