SLW Centennial High School recently implemented an attendance initiative to increase daily attendance. The theme was “Missing School = Missing Out.” Teachers and members of the attendance team greeted parents at the carline and thanked them for bringing their children to school on time. Throughout February, SLW Centennial High School celebrated Black History Month with engaging and educational activities. The festivities included weekly trivia, a 90’s Black music karaoke session, and an arts and essay contest focused on understanding and embracing diversity. Students and staff also participated in a door-decorating contest, showcasing their creativity and appreciation for Black history and culture. Students at St. Lucie West Centennial High School had the unique opportunity to meet with Mr. John T. Reid, a Senior Admission Counselor from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York.
