911 Dispatcher Speaks to Criminal Justice Students

CrimJust

SLW Centennial High School had the privilege of hosting a member of the St. Lucie Emergency Services, who spoke to the criminal justice students about the career of a 911 dispatcher. This informative session provided students with important information about the critical role of emergency response dispatchers.

The speaker shared firsthand experiences and detailed the skills and qualifications required for the job. Students learned the importance of quick thinking, effective communication, and remaining calm under pressure. The session also highlighted the rewarding aspects of the career, such as the opportunity to make a significant impact on the community.

This event was part of Centennial’s ongoing efforts to provide students with real-world knowledge and career exploration opportunities. We are grateful to St. Lucie Emergency Services for their support and for inspiring our students to consider careers in public safety.
