Throughout February, SLW Centennial High School celebrated Black History Month with engaging and educational activities. The festivities included weekly trivia, a 90’s Black music karaoke session, and an arts and essay contest focused on understanding and embracing diversity.

Students and staff also participated in a door-decorating contest, showcasing their creativity and appreciation for Black history and culture. These and other activities honored Black individuals’ contributions throughout history and fostered a more profound sense of community and inclusivity within the school.

Centennial’s Black History Month celebrations were very successful. They highlighted the importance of diversity and the rich cultural heritage of the Black community. We look forward to continuing these traditions and creating more opportunities for learning and growth in the future.
