On November 11, 2025, the Port St. Lucie Jaguar Battalion stood with pride at Veteran’s Memorial Park to participate in our community’s deeply moving Veterans Day ceremony. Vocabulary is Fun at Lawnwood Elementary School

K-5 Lawnwood students had a fantastic time participating in the Vocabulary Parade. This event was a wonderful celebration of our love for words and reading. It also provided a fun and academically focused opportunity for students to dress up in creative, homemade costumes. Inspired by Debra Frasier’s book “Miss Alaineus, A Vocabulary Disaster,” the concept made vocabulary learning enjoyable and interactive. Southport Middle School proudly joined the Socktober initiative, bringing together teachers, staff, and families to make a meaningful impact. In Mrs. Belizaire’s AICE European History classes at Fort Pierce Central, students recently tackled the compelling question: “Did Lenin hijack the revolution?” Working in pairs, they analyzed historical texts, annotated key passages, and gathered evidence to support multiple perspectives. Southport Middle School hosted its Read to Succeed Fundraiser at Big Apple Pizza on November 12, and it was a huge success! Families came together to enjoy delicious pizza while supporting SPMS. Centennial Culinary Students Become Creative in the Kitchen

Our culinary students stepped into full creative mode last week as they explored innovation through two semi-homemade, high-impact desserts.  Each team crafted a personalized monkey bread, selecting their own mix-ins—cherry, apple, or pumpkin—to build flavor combinations that were as bold as they were delicious. They also produced rich chocolate brownie Bundt cakes finished with a glossy chocolate ganache and hand-formed Tootsie-roll roses. At Samuel S. Gaines Academy of Emerging Technologies, student leaders who are members of the Pantry Club come together every other Friday to organize their school pantry and make weekend bags of non-perishable food items for families. On November 1, 2025, the Port St Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion conducted a car wash fundraiser to raise money for the Battalion and future events and activities.
