Game On for Academic Success at Palm Pointe K-8

Palm Pointe 6th graders participated in an IXL Leaderboard Math contest for about two weeks, measuring the “most correct questions” during that time period. Bayshore Elementary recently celebrated positive choices with a PBIS Quarter 3 Positive Behavior Celebration! This special event recognized all students who earned zero BIRs (Behavior Incident Referrals) and zero ODRs (Office Discipline Referrals) during the third quarter. Oak Hammock K-8 K–2 Ice Cream Incentive Celebration

On Thursday, April 2, Oak Hammock K–8 proudly celebrated the hard work and academic growth of our K–2 students with a special Ice Cream Incentive. This celebration honored students who demonstrated growth by increasing their scale scores from PM1 to PM2 in both Reading and Math. Hunting for Heart Words at Fairlawn Elementary

Fairlawn kindergarteners celebrated literacy with their annual Heart Word Egg Hunt on the playground. Colorful eggs were hidden across the grass, each labeled with a UFLI heart word for students to read. As children excitedly searched, they practiced decoding and recognizing important high-frequency words. After finding eggs, students proudly read their heart words aloud to a teacher. Each successful reading allowed them to trade in their eggs for a small treat, adding extra motivation and fun. Northport K-8’s Rising Stars annual Wax Museum was a wonderful sight to see! Students truly came to life as their favorite characters in grades K-2, musicians in third grade, history of events timeline in fourth grade, and scientists in fifth grade. This past Saturday, 5th graders from Mosaic Digital Academy attended “Saturday with a Scientist” at Indian River State College, engaging in hands-on activities that brought their virtual science lessons to life. Chelsy Marie Alvaredo knows water conservation. The St. Lucie West Centennial High School 9th grader won the 2026 Drop Savers Poster Contest, hosted by St. Lucie County, in conjunction with the Florida Section American Water Works Association (FSAWWA).
