Lawnwood Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Mrs. Wright’s fourth-grade class at Lawnwood Elementary took a vibrant journey into the heart of Guatemala. Through an engaging and hands-on cultural exploration, students learned about the country’s rich traditions, colorful history, and unique geography. From traditional foods and music to famous landmarks, the class discovered what makes Guatemala such a special part of the Hispanic world. Game On: SPMS Gears Up for District Test with a Fun Review.

At Southport Middle School, students enrolled in seventh grade accelerated math prepared for their first district test by participating in a fun and engaging review game held in the Media Center. Led by math coach Mr. Mirc, who served as the game’s energetic host, students reviewed key skills and concepts they’ve learned so far this year. The Lincoln Park Academy Key Club Kick-Off Conference held on September 28, 2005, was a tremendous success! Members had the opportunity to connect with fellow Key Club members from Palm Beach, as well as the lieutenant governors of our zone. Lakewood Park Falcons Readers Theater

At Lakewood Park Elementary, third-grade students in Ms. Johnson’s enrichment group have been working hard on their Reader’s Theater while also having a blast! Students took responsibility for everything from choosing their play groups, deciding on a play to perform, creating props, “stage” setup, and even costumes! During this fun experience, students learned about character development and used their imaginations to bring their characters to life. On Saturday, September 27, Treasure Coast High School’s Unified Bowling Team competed in the District Tournament in Orlando. The team included four athletes and three unified partners, all coming together for a day of bowling, teamwork, and school pride. FREE Heart Screenings for Students

St. Lucie Public Schools is proud to partner with the Florida Department of Health and the Jessica Clinton MVP Foundation to promote a Free Heart Screening event on Saturday, November 8th, from 8am-4:30pm. Jessica Clinton, a young cheerleader in St. Lucie County, died tragically at the age of 17, partly because of an undiagnosed heart condition. SLW Centennial HS Navy JROTC Wins Do-You-Give-A-Ruck

Congratulations to the SLW Centennial HS Navy JROTC Black Talon Company!  On Saturday, September 27th, 2025, the area High School JROTC teams from the Treasure Coast went head to head to win this year’s title of The Do-You-Give-A-Ruck Freedom Festival and Memorial Ruck March Cadet Competition. Each team was charged with completing a 3.43 Mile Ruck (or backpack March) at an average of 15.00 minute mile pace, carrying an average load of 25-35 lbs each. During a freshman seminar class, the Student Peer Navigators led an engaging activity using the “Rock, Pebbles, and Sand” metaphor to help new students understand the importance of prioritizing their time and responsibilities.
