Goal Setting at Morningside

Plory’s Prize Patrol made the rounds at Morningside Elementary to reward all students who met their IReady goal for the month of January. Students at Morningside regularly set goals and then work hard to achieve them. By teaching students these real-world skills, we are teaching them to be proactive in their learning.

Gnome For the Holidays: VGESS 1st Grade Performance

The 1st Grade Holiday Performance was truly a show-stopper! Each little star shone brightly, sharing their joy and creativity with us all. Their hard work and enthusiasm made every moment so special. A heartfelt thank you to our talented young performers, families, and the wonderful teachers who helped bring this magical event to life. Dr. Reynolds, Village Green’s music teacher, truly outdid herself with this year’s “Gnome for the Holidays” program. VGESS 4th graders were included as special guest narrators for the show. Our village knows how to put on a performance and we can’t wait for the next show!

Glow Day at Morningside Elementary

Students and staff at Morningside Elementary dressed in “glow” from head to toe and participated in a variety of activities on Glow Day in order to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters through the Bowl for Kid’s Sake Fundraiser.  Students raised over$700.    

Glow Dance for Perfect Attendance at Bayshore Elementary

Students at Bayshore Elementary who achieved perfect attendance were rewarded with a special glow dance! This exciting event was a vibrant celebration of their dedication and commitment to school. The students were thrilled to receive glow sticks, which added a fun and colorful touch to the evening. They danced under the glowing lights, creating unforgettable memories with their friends. Glimmering Seasons Greetings Across Cobra Nation

The normally glittering purple and gold of Cobra Nation sparkled green and red for the holidays! Staff enjoyed festive themes and treats each day before winter break. From daily dress-up themes, selfies with the Elves contest, donuts, coffee, hot cocoa, fruit and yogurt parfaits, to personalized Cobra Nation Stanley-style tumblers, hand-delivered cards and ornaments, and of course, our most treasured Annual Poinsettia Luncheon, Central’s Administrators set Santa up with quite the celebrations to follow! Giving Concert

The sixth annual Giving Concert is planned for October 25th at Lincoln Park Academy in the auditorium located at 1806 Avenue I in Fort Pierce. The doors open to the general public at 6:30 p.m. and the concert boasting area choral groups begins at 7:00 p.m. The event, sponsored by St. Lucie Public Schools and organized by Choral Director Dr. Rolanda Jones, will support Grace Packs which, in turn, benefits students.  Grace Packs is a weekly weekend back pack program that provides necessary food items to students in need. Giselle Cisneros-Arana Awarded Concertmaster of the All State Concert Orchestra

Lincoln Park Academy Orchestra is proud to announce that violinist Giselle Arana-Cisneros, grade 9, was recently awarded Concertmaster of the Florida Orchestra Association All State Concert Orchestra in January!  The Florida Music Education Conference was held in Tampa on January 11-14 and featured All State performing groups from various different areas of music performance. Giselle auditioned for her placement and was awarded this honor from 18 first violins.  This talented musician is not only in orchestra but in chorus as well and has performed with many area community orchestras including the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony.

Giselle Arana Cisneros Makes All-State Middle School Orchestra

Lincoln Park Academy Orchestra, under the direction of Ms. Laura Hopkins, is pleased to announce that 8th grader, Giselle Arana Cisneros, has been accepted in this year’s Florida Orchestra Association All-State Middle School Orchestra, playing 1st violin!  She auditioned in October and was chosen from several other state musicians.  She will perform with the All-State Orchestra in Tampa in January during the Florida Music Education Professional Development Conference.  Giselle studies violin with Mr. Ben Enyart and is a current member of the Treasure Coast Youth Orchestra.  This is the second year that Giselle has been chosen for the All-State Orchestra, … Read More

GirlsWhoGame@Samuel Gaines Academy of Emerging Technologies

January 28th, was the culminating celebration for the GirlsWhoGame clubs and the completion of their January competition. Samuel S. Gaines Academy of Emerging Technologies is the only school participating from Florida and one of only thirty schools participating in the GirlsWhoGame clubs across North America. GWG clubs are sponsored, mentored, and guided by Dell Technologies, Microsoft, and Intel for the purpose of encouraging young girls into the field of STEM.

Girls on the Run Race at 5K for Lawnwood

The Girls on the Run at Lawnwood Elementary had a blast celebrating the end of their season at the annual 5K. Running buddies encouraged students along the way, cheering the girls on. Students learned about various life skills during weekly meetings. Way to go Lawnwood Leopards!

Girls on the Run at Oak Hammock K-8

Girls on the Run (GOTR) is so much fun at Oak Hammock K-8! Coach Nancy Branim and Coach Amber Martin are proud of the 3rd-5th grade students that are learning and practicing healthy habits, developing positive relationships, and becoming stronger. The GOTR group meet twice a week to participate in lessons to lead healthy and balanced lives while practicing for the season finale 5K in November. Our star-powered GOTR team that make us proud are Aaliyah Jackson, Alannah Silva, Alyssa Martinez, Arianna Martin, Brielle McNamara, Janiyah Talabert, Kamila Gamez-Luna, Mia Gomez, and Natalia Gamez-Luna. #GOTR  

Girls on the Run at MSE: Confidence, Friends, and Fitness

Girls on the Run at Morningside Elementary is back up and running after some time off due to the hurricane!   This wonderful organization teaches girls confidence and life skills through engaging weekly lessons.  The girls are currently learning about making positive connections with new friends.  They are also hard at work outside running laps to prepare themselves for a community 5K later on in the school year.  The coaches are very proud of how motivated and hard-working the girls have been!

Girls on the Run at Lawnwood Supports Pace

The Girls on the Run Program is so much more than a running club! Participants not only engage in healthy physical activity while developing confidence and learning life skills, but they also learn about the strength of teamwork and helping others. This is something applied and considered each time they meet. The Lawnwood Elementary School Girls on the Run team wrote encouraging notes and made 46 goodie bags for the Pace Center for Girls. Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is so much FUN! The Oak Hammock GOTR participants are working together to develop a positive self-image, make healthy choices, enhance leadership skills and make continued growth toward effective teamwork. Some of our girls are returning participants and have made exponential growth and serve as role models to new participants. The girls are excited to complete their 5K run in December. Our Ospreys are continuing to build success together with positive connections.
