Mariposa Elementary’s 5th grade Monarchs received a well-deserved recognition for their participation in the NEED Project. This project encourages and rewards student leadership and innovation by sponsoring a Youth Awards Program for Energy Achievement.  Students in the NEED program, led by Mrs. Carla Bargeron, were awarded the Florida Elementary runner up for their excellent job educating younger students in energy conservation. Under the direction of Dr. Brett Lauren, PhD Director of Graduate Training Professor of Psychology at FAU, Grade 3 through 5 students  at Palm Pointe Educational Research School @ Tradition will be participating in a research study entitled ” School Experiences in Childhood and Adolescence.” The purpose of this project is to examine how individual characteristics of friends shape child adjustment and school achievement.

Morningside Elementary teachers greeted the students with pompoms, noise makers, and positive signs as they entered the building on their first day of the 2015-2016 school year.

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Christopher’s Kindergarten class at Savanna Ridge Elementary were excited for their first day of school.  Mrs. Christopher welcomed them with open arms and enjoyed taking a first day of school picture to capture the special day!

SLW Centennial Band performed for the grand opening of the new Race Trac that opened on Port Saint Lucie Boulevard.      

On July 9, 2015, the Centennial Lady Eagles Basketball Team gave back to the community by volunteering at Sarah’s Kitchen.  The team volunteers twice a year; at Thanksgiving and during the summer.  Thank you Lady Eagles for your time and dedication to our community.
