Village Green Environmental Studies School hosted student led conferences on Friday, October 28, 2016. Students shared their growth during quarter one, set goals for the upcoming term, and planted a sunflower to signify future growth. Village Green administration sincerely thanks the many community members who helped to ensure EVERY student was able to share with a caring adult.

Village Green Environmental Studies School held a luncheon in honor of Grandparents Day on Friday, September 9th. Great grandparents, grandmothers, and grandfathers were treated to a special lunch, poem, gift, and a student-created video to honor this very special occasion. We love our grandparents!
Dirk Smith, Plant Manager of Village Green Environmental Studies School, has implemented a fun and rewarding recycling program. Each week the classes of VGESS compete to see who will win a coveted Sundae Party for the most material recycled in one week. The incentive program has been a huge success. Village Green Environmental Studies School brought storybook characters to life through a pumpkin decorating contest. Students were able to vote for their favorite pumpkin using earned Manatee Moola.
“Respect Yourself, Be Drug Free” was the Red Ribbon Week theme this year. Students at Village Green Environmental Studies School participated in several anti-drug/anti bullying activities, some of which included: creating posters, signing pledges, and a presentation by Joe the Biker.

Wednesday, October 21, 2015 was dedicated to everyone coming together—in schools, communities, and online — and send one large ORANGE message of support, hope, and unity to show that we are united against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.
