Palm Pointe American Heart Association Slime Time

Palm Pointe students in grades K-5 raised money for the American Heart Association through the Jump Rope for Heart organization. Palm Pointe’s top fund-raisers got to slime their P.E coach Mr. Santoro. Our heart heroes raised $5,123.00 for the cause! Way to go Rockets!

LPA Theatre at State

At the 2024 Florida State Thespian Festival, troupe 6958 brought 8 individual events to compete with, and a one act. They came home with four excellents, four superiors, and top honors for their one act. 6958 got the pleasure of watching three main stages, watch other schools pieces, and take different workshops with Broadway professionals. Overall State Festival was an incredible learning experience for everyone who attended. LPA Theatre had an outstanding time at the state festival and can’t wait until next year!

FGMS Students Participate in the History Fair

We are so proud of all of our Bulldogs who represented Forest Grove at the St. Lucie Public Schools National History Fair this year. These students put a lot of hard work into their History Day projects and their work paid off. District Homeless Liaison, Kylee Fuhr, and Student Assignment Coordinator, Kandiss Moore, passionately advocated for students experiencing homelessness during their recent visit to Washington DC. Their advocacy efforts involved productive meetings with dedicated staff from both the offices of Brian Mast and Marco Rubio. SLWCHS: Around the World in 100 Minutes!

Just before Spring Break, Centennial’s Eagle Culture Committee (PBIS) celebrated diversity and our students that have excellent attendance and behavior with our very first “Around the World in 100 Minutes!” The event consisted of music, games, activities, food trucks, and booths from countries around the world.  Eligible students had an amazing time celebrating their heritage and learning more about the heritage of their fellow students and teachers!

WGK8 8th Graders Travel to Washington, D.C.

West Gate K8 8th grade students enjoyed an educational experience as they toured Washington D.C. just prior to break. Some were even selected to participate in the “Change of Wreath” ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington Cemetery.

Westwood Wins State FFA Veterinary Assisting

Congratulations to the Fort Pierce Westwood Academy students who competed in the FFA Vet Assisting contest in Plant City! They placed FIRST in the state with Jayden Weil being the high individual of the whole contest. The team members (pictured) Briana Plaza, Samuel Rogers, Jayden Weil, and Ella Stark will be recognized during the State FFA Convention in June and then continue on to compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis in October! Woo-hoo! Great job, Panthers!

Central’s Champion Flag Football Team Visit the Bucs

Towards the end of the top-notch season, the Lady Cobra’s Champion Flag Football Team was invited to Tampa to meet the Buccaneers players and play a game on their home field. Coach Clements couldn’t be prouder of his team! From their dedication, hard work, and cohesive vision, the team members have made clear that while winning is always the goal, winning as a team means more to players. FPC Boys Basketball Team are Champs

District Superintendent Dr. Jon R. Prince and School Board Member Mr. Troy Ingersoll visited the Cobras during a recent practice to congratulate them on their academic and athletic achievements throughout this memorable season. The Fort Pierce Central Boys’ Basketball Team won their first District Championship since 2011 by knocking off 3 straight higher ranked opponents on the road. By defeating rival Centennial 67-54 in the quarterfinals and Palm Beach Lakes by the score of 75-59 in the semifinals and Jupiter High School, 51-47 in the District Finals, the Cobras finally achieved their goal after losing the last two years in … Read More

NHS Titans Participate with Beach Cleanup

On Saturday, March 9th, Mr. Curatolo and members of the Treasure Coast High School National Honors Society, in collaboration with 5 other high school chapters of NHS, completed the largest beach cleanup project to date. Over 100 members spent that Saturday morning cleaning the Hutchinson Island beaches, sidewalks, and pathways of any trash and debris they could find. Each chapter covered at least 2-3 miles of beach helping make St. Lucie and the Treasure Coast clean and suitable for the environment. Lincoln Park Academy Choral Department…State-bound Again!

Congratulations to the Lincoln Park Academy Choral Department!! The Women’s Chorus “Premiere” and the advanced Women’s Chorus “Belle Voix” both received Straight Superior ratings at the Florida Vocal Association District 13 Choral Music Performance Assessments. They now move on to the State Music Performance Assessments along with the Women’s Ensemble, Duet (Dalita DeCambre and Rayna Desmangles), and Soloist Angellesiea Cerda.   State MPA will be held in North Palm Beach and West Palm Beach in April. TCHS Student Travels to London for Performance Series

Sophia H. Katsigiannis, a student at Treasure Coast High School, has been selected for the High School Honors Performance Series at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Sophia will perform the bass clarinet in July 2024 with the Honors Band. Participation in the Honors Ensembles is limited to the highest-rated young performers from across the world. Sophia will join performers from 42 United States, Guam, South Korea, and Canada for a special performance at the world-famous Royal Festival Hall, a venue that marks the pinnacle of musical achievement. Village Green Celebrates SLC Bus Driver

Village Green Elementary appreciates all of the St. Lucie Public Schools Bus Drivers who safely transport our children to and from school day in and day out. We recognized and celebrated all their hard work and dedication to the children this week. Each driver was surprised with a special treat each day this week. The bus drivers were greeted with coffee and breakfast, yummy treats, Village Green shirts, and cards of appreciation from our students. Thank you to all the bus drivers for all that you do!

The Jaguar Battalion Holds Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony

On March 11th and 12th,  the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion conducted their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony where Cadets retired worn and torn unserviceable flags. Cadets properly retired the unserviceable flags in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code. Each Cadet received a chance to retire a color of the flag. The first squad retired the red stripes which symbolize hardness and courage. The second squad retired the white stripe which signifies purity and innocence. The third squad retired the blue field which is indicative of vigilance, perseverance, and justice. Lakewood Park Elementary VPK Students Visit the Brevard Zoo

Lakewood Park Elementary VPK students visited the Brevard Zoo after completing our unit of study on animals. Students were able to deepen their knowledge of animals and their survival needs. They got to see what the animals’ habitats look like and how they differ for different animals. They had a wonderful time at the zoo field trip.
