The Jaguar Battalion Holds Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony

On March 11th and 12th,  the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion conducted their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony where Cadets retired worn and torn unserviceable flags. Cadets properly retired the unserviceable flags in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code. Each Cadet received a chance to retire a color of the flag. The first squad retired the red stripes which symbolize hardness and courage. The second squad retired the white stripe which signifies purity and innocence. The third squad retired the blue field which is indicative of vigilance, perseverance, and justice. The Color Guard opened up the ceremony with the National Colors. Overall, the flag retirement was a success.
