Exciting Adventures in SLWCHS Early Childhood Education

Our early childhood education students have been diving into the Baby Think It Over program, and it’s been a whirlwind of fun and learning! Imagine taking home a baby for a night—what an adventure! Students have described it as an “eye-opening experience,” and it’s easy to see why. Not only do they get hands-on practice with baby care (hello, midnight feedings!), but they also sharpen their life budgeting skills. It’s like a crash course in real-life adulting, all wrapped up in one adorable package! Who knew learning could be this much fun?

Students needed to determine how different additives affect the hydrogen bonds between different water molecules. Students needed to create a null hypothesis and an alternative hypothesis and chart their data. Students then analyzed and discussed their findings.

SLWCHS Repeats As District Champs in Softball

From TCPalm: “The St. Lucie West Centennial softball team has only one senior on its roster. And at a moment when the game hung in the balance, that senior came through. Keyhara Alleyne clobbered a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Eagles earned a 4-2 victory over Treasure Coast in the District 11-7A title game on Wednesday at St. Lucie West Centennial High School.” photo courtesy of TCPalm
