Seventh graders in Mrs. Lauren Kappler’s West Gate K-8 Civics class won first place accolades in the St. Lucie Public Schools Project Citizen Showcase.  Their project entitled Don’t Panic will compete at the State level and is currently on display at the Capital where legislators will serve on judging panels for a final evaluation of all projects by late May.

Emily exemplifies what it means to be a Titan through her consistent engagement in behaviors that support our schoolwide expectations. The Bulldog defense only allowed one goal in four games and provided the opportunities for hat tricks from both team captains – Javier Salgado and Diego Gonzalez. Mario Bello, Jesus Avila, and Roselis Mocteczuma also scored goals to lead the Bulldogs to their first championship.

This past week, Superintendent E. Wayne Gent, kept his promise by celebrating the Class of 2020 with live in-person graduations at Lawnwood Stadium. The Class of 2020 will go down in history by being the first graduating class to have not one but two graduations.  The first was a virtual graduation in May followed by the graduations held last week. St. Lucie County’s public transportation system – Area Regional Transit (ART) – recently announced a countywide Call to Artists.
