Lakewood Park Elementary 5th Graders Make Authentic Connections Through Math

5th-grade students at Lakewood Park Elementary had such a fun and engaging time stepping into the roles of customers and restaurant servers while practicing adding and subtracting decimals! They then learned to write journal notes about observations. They continued to use science journals to track the growth of two different beans. They made predictions and recorded changes as the plants grew.
