The Lincoln Park Academy Theatre Department Presented The Addams Family Musical in mid-March. Determined to create during a time of disconnect, the LPA Theatre Department worked hard to find ways to create theatre in an inventive and safe way. STEM & Buds Regional Fair

The F.K. Sweet and Lincoln Park Academy chapters are excited to announce the STEM & Buds regional fair is fast approaching! Ranging from candy math to the effect of different wind strengths on trees, elementary and middle school students will present projects they have created this school year. The free virtual fair will be held via Zoom on Friday, April 23 from 5:00-6:30pm. Lincoln Park Academy STEM & Buds

The Lincoln Park Academy STEM & Buds chapter began in November with a mission to empower students to bridge STEM and storytelling through peer mentorship and project creation. Since then, high school and middle school members have embarked on a genuine STEM research experience. The one hour and fifteen minute sessions allow students to discover six primary branches of STEM: engineering, social sciences, math, computer science, biology, and chemistry through various challenges, activities, presentations, and discussions. Lincoln Park Academy Shines Bright at St. Lucie County Fair

Lincoln Park Academy highlighted the school’s achievements and greyhound pride in this year’s St. Lucie County Fair booth. The theme was, “School’s Shining Bright Under Carnival Lights.” The booth featured a ceramic greyhound posed as the school’s fortune teller, themed photographs of our administration, and various items from our sports, music, and art programs.  Lincoln Park Academy won second place in the high school division and received a $500.00 award.  We would like to thank Dermody Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics for sponsoring this award and the St. Lucie County Fair Association.

Lincoln Park Academy Athletics Continues to Shine at FHSAA State Tournaments

Lincoln Park Academy won three gold medals at State Championships in the Fall and their Winter teams are seeing similar success. The Girls Basketball Team won their 7th District Championship in a row and their first Regional Championship in school history to advance to the State Final Four.  The Lady Greyhounds beat American Heritage in their semifinal appearance and fell short in the Championship game to the #1 team in the nation.  Congratulations to Coach Adams, his staff, and his team for finishing as the Class 4A State Runner-Up. LPA Senior Grayson DiBernardo is Fort Pierce Rotary Club’s February Student of the Month

Grayson DiBernardo is senior at Lincoln Park Academy with a GPA of 3.5 weighted to an awesome 5.1494! Grayson is the son of Jenifer and Pete DiBernardo. Grayson’s subject interests are many and include history, music, and math. He is a member of the National Honor Society, DECA, and the Student Council.  Grayson has won two state medals in swimming and placed forth at the District and DECA competition. Lincoln Park Academy Girls Basketball Team is Headed to the State Final Four

Nicholas Demko has qualified as a Semifinalist in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.  As one of approximately 16,000 high school seniors who are Semifinalists, he has the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be offered next spring. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition. Lincoln Park Academy is pleased to announce that Giselle Arana Cisneros, a 7th-grade orchestra student, has been chosen to participate in the Florida Orchestra Association All State Orchestra on violin. She completed the audition virtually in October. Ms. Laura Hopkins is her orchestra director at LPA, and is very proud of her accomplishments. Giselle has loved music since she young. Lincoln Park Academy Golfer Wins the Treasure Lakes Conference Championship

The Treasure Lakes Conference held their first championship of the year in golf this week.  Lincoln Park Academy’s Girls Golfer Angelica Holman shot a 35 and was crowned the Treasure Lakes Conference Champion.  Congratulations to Angelica and to 6th grader Jaden Peterson who was also attended the invitation only championship that day.

Ms. Duran’s middle school students from Lincoln Park Academy participated in the Lion’s International Peace Poster Contest. The winners were selected by the Lion’s Club of Fort Pierce. First place was awarded to Zareef Mohammed (7th).  Second place was awarded to Zoey Thomaselli (8th).  Third place was awarded to Zoya Mukhamedov (8th).  Kaliyana Limear (8th) was selected as Honorable Mention.  Zareef Mohammed’s poster will advance to represent Lincoln Park Academy in the International Peace Poster Contest. IB Students at LPA Giving Back to Furry Friends

A small representation of the IB program at LPA went to the Dogs and Cats Forever animal shelter to deliver a check from funds raised last year by the IB Program. The IB Program wanted to support and be a part of the great work that this no kill shelter does in our community.
