Seniors in LPA IB Biology Experiment with Gel Electrophoresis

This lab provided Lincoln Park students with a first-hand experience of how forensic scientists use DNA to connect suspects to crimes. The students were able to make a connection to the material on a deeper level. Next week the students will make their weekly venture to Harbor Branch for a mark & recapture field lab.  

LPA Runner Continues to Shine

Jacey Lane (10th grade) opened her 2022 cross country season by winning first place at the St. Lucie West Centennial Cross Country Invitational on August 24th.  She also won first place at the Wayne Cross Invitational on August 31st by finishing the 3.1 mile course in her career best time of 20:37.  Congratulations on a job well done!

Lincoln Park Academy GoalFest 2022

After a year filled with community and school events, activities, and initiatives, Lincoln Park Academy Students4H2O closed the school year with GoalFest. GoalFest focuses on educating others about the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and how they relate to our lives and the world around us through 30-second to 3-minute video submissions. LPA Students4H2O Celebrate Earth Day 2022!

Lincoln Park Academy Students4H2O celebrate Earth Day 2022 at their new garden plot at the Fort Pierce Community Garden! Having this plot not only aligns with the United Nations missions of Global Goal 13: Climate Action and Global Goal 15: Life on Land, but allows Students4H2O members to have hands-on interactions with their environment. Congratulations LPA Chorus!  This past Monday, the LPA Choral Department participated in the Florida Vocal Association State Choral Music Performance Assessments which was held at American Heritage School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This was the third and final segment of the Florida Vocal Association’s Music Performance Assessments. Lincoln Park Academy Students4H2O had a great time this Saturday at Stuart Memorial Park as they partook in Water Fest 2022! Lincoln Park Academy was proud to represent St. Lucie County at this environmental conservation event. Hundreds of attendees stopped by to check out their activity focused on upcycling egg cartons as planting pots. Lincoln Park Academy Visual Arts Visits Major Exhibition of American Impressionist Work in South Florida

Mr. McGraw’s LPA visual arts students were invited to visit the Society of the Four Arts on Palm Beach for their 2022 season exhibit, In a New Light: American Impressionism 1870–1940. Lincoln Park Academy had a wonderful time at NatureFest 2022! With over 30 booths from local environmental and outdoor groups, including nonprofits, parks, and eco-centers, plus local businesses, LPA Students4H2O was proud to be at the 26th environmental festival alongside the Lincoln Park Academy Key Club and the Lincoln Park Academy Environmental Protection Club. This educational environmental festival featured many exhibitors that showcased the Treasure Coast’s wildlife, natural resources, and Florida’s great outdoors! Lincoln Park Academy Theatre Stole the Show at District 15 Thespian Festival!

LPA Theatre- Troupe 6958 stole the show at the Individual Event Festival this weekend! Bringing home 21 superior ratings and 8 critics’ choice trophies. In addition, 2 scholarships were awarded to Jonathan Edwards and Kailee Larmon, and the overall best technical theatre event of the weekend was awarded to Tyler Daniel. Lincoln Park Academy Rocked One Act Festival!

We are thrilled to share that the Lincoln Park Academy Theatre, Troupe 6958, participated in the District 15 One Act Festival this past weekend and received a straight Superior Rating as well as Best In Show. This means that they will be moving on to State Festival in March! Other awards included the Strongest Dramatic Performance and All-star Ensemble Cast. Giselle Arana Cisneros Makes All-State Middle School Orchestra

This past weekend, during a full moon, Lincoln Park Academy Theatre opened the spooky, quirky musical: ZombieProm. This show follows two lovebirds through a journey of young love, unforeseen chaos and rights for zombies. The students performed beautifully and told the story with such conviction and talent. Lincoln Park Academy student, Nittiya Boyce, 8th grade, placed third in the “Inlet 100th Anniversary Student Art Contest.” The contest was sponsored by the Fort Pierce Lions Club. They were inspired to hold a contest to celebrate the inlet because children are the future keepers of our environment. Nittiya’s artwork is now on display at the Manatee Observation and Education Center. She won a $50 Visa gift card, ribbon, and certificate for her talent and creativity. LPA Senior Nichapa Dancharnjitt Awarded the Frank Froehling Scholarship

LPA Senior Nichapa Dancharnjitt has been awarded the Frank Froehling Scholarship for 2021. It is an award given to one senior girl and one senior boy tennis player on the Treasure Coast who shows combined excellence in athletics, leadership, academics, and community service.  The award was presented by Elizabeth Froehling (widow of former ATP professional Frank Froehling) and Aldo Burga who represent the Treasure Coast Tennis Foundation.

Nittiya Boyce Shines in the “Inlet 100th Anniversary Student Art Contest”

Lincoln Park Academy student, Nittiya Boyce, 7th grade, placed third in the “Inlet 100th Anniversary Student Art Contest”. The contest was sponsored by the Fort Pierce Lions Club.
