Students in Mrs. Auciello’s first grade class at Mariposa Elementary used Play-Doh and toothpicks to create a 3-dimensional cube! The students figured out that they needed 6 Play-Doh vertices and 12 toothpick edges. Pictured are Andrew Newhouse, Jaxson Plantier, Malia Johnson, Jaistyn Thurston, and Madelyn Farrell. What a great way to learn about the defining attributes of 3D shapes!
