Twin Day Tie Dye Activity

Students at Floresta showed their spirit during Twin Day. Mrs. Tameika Anderson’s class created matching tie-dye shirts to wear for the occasion.

Turn Up the Volume at Bayshore

Students in Mrs. Maxwell’s math class “turned up the volume!” With a partner and a ruler, they measured the length, width, and depth of rectangular prisms in order to calculate the volume. This hands-on activity gave them not only practice with calculating volume, but also sharpened their ruler skills!

Turn-Around Principals Hard at Work

School turnaround leaders from Chester A. Moore Elementary and St. Lucie Elementary recently participated in a highly specialized leadership program at the Principals’ Center of Harvard University.  Along with skill development and feedback from peers and faculty, this five-day institute is designed for highly charged teams to work together, translate data into action, and design an actionable school improvement plan geared for successful results.

Tunnel of Welcome for FPWHS Incoming Freshmen

Faculty, staff, and students created a welcome tunnel for our incoming students and their families at the Freshmen Open House.  The FPWHS band and cheerleaders boosted everyone’s spirits in our courtyard and the JROTC along with our chorus led the presentation with of colors, Pledge of Allegiance, and the National Anthem.

Tuning Up For The Season

With the beginning of school just around the corner, students and band directors are tuning up for the season! Rehearsals are underway as students prepare to perform the musical selections fans will hear and appreciate in stadiums across the District. Treasure Coast Titans, under the direction of Luke Hall, began meeting this week.

Tuition Assistance

Indian River State College (IRSC) has a long-standing collaboration with St. Lucie County School District through which school district employees are given tuition assistance for Associate Degree level courses.  The tuition voucher allows employees to only pay for the first credit of each three-credit course & IRSC provides a tuition scholarship for the other two credits. IRSC has established a defined scholarship allocation for the school district for Fall 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019 and has authorized the district to begin issuing vouchers per the normal process, effective now.  The school district is responsible for authorizing our employees to … Read More

Troupe 6958 Rocks District Festival

Lincoln Park Academy Theatre’s Troupe 6958 participated in District 15 Individual Event Festival on Saturday, December 3rd and the students did absolutely phenomenally. Troupe 6958 came away with 15 Superior Rated Pieces, 8 Excellent Rated Pieces, and 2 Critics Choice. Their Large Group Musical Titled: Biggest Blame Fool was awarded Critics Choice for Large Group and also chosen as the Overall Critics Choice Performance Piece for the entire Festival. This means that Troupe 6958 will be representing District 15 Thespians on the Mainstage at State Thespian Festival in March!    

Trophies go to MLK parade winners

Trophies were awarded for the winning entries in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemmorative Committee parade on January 21, 2013, in Fort Pierce. First, second and third place, plus winners of special judges’ awards, were presented. Triangles Are A Lot of Fun at Mariposa Elementary

The students in Mrs. Kari McIntyre’s Kindergarten class at Mariposa Elementary are having fun learning all about triangles! Michael Soto, Zykeria Reynolds, and Kaarina Wiley are demonstrating their skills by creating a human triangle. One of the many activities the students participated in was using a string to create a triangle in their classroom. Also, they were able to describe the triangle by its attributes; they recited that “A triangle has three sides and three vertices!”

Treasured Turtles at SGA

Rebecca and Cody Mott from the Inwater Research group conducted a Treasured Turtles program with Gaines Academy 6th grade science classes. The program engaged, educated, and stimulated the students into thinking about the world of marine science and ocean conservation. The students especially enjoyed the hands-on artifacts and specimens.

Treasure Hunter group recognized by school board

Calvary Compassion Church members, a group of caring Treasure Hunters, will be recognized by the Board for a variety of contributions. They organized three huge events for Garden City Elementary, C.A. Moore Elementary and the families of Big Brothers/Big Sisters. They successfully put on a wonderful Fall Festival for families that was held on October 22, on Garden City’s campus. They also coordinated a Thanksgiving dinner give-away for these same families as well as Christmas gifts and needed items. This group of caring people organized everything as well as coordinated the various agencies and volunteers.  

Treasure Coast Youth Symphony Awards

The Treasure Coast Youth Symphony, known for its highly successful orchestral training program for young musicians, topped off its greatly successful performance 30th anniversary season with merit scholarship and grant awards to member musicians totaling over $15,000.00. Through the years, the organization has provided more than $125,000 to its young musicians to augment their music education and pursuits. Director Awards for wind and percussion instruments were earned by Abby Bracken (oboe) and Cameron Slack (trumpet), and the Director Awards for string instruments were earned by Brooke Gunter (violin) and Eric Lora (cello). Treasure Coast Students Soar High Post-Graduation

AFJROTC Cadets Michael Brandt and Nora Brandt exemplify the dedication and excellence fostered at Treasure Coast High School (TCHS). Graduating in 2025, these students completed four years in AFJROTC, a program that not only sharpened their leadership skills but also instilled a deep-seated commitment to service. This past summer, their hard work paid off when they were both awarded prestigious scholarships to the AFJROTC Flight Academy, an experience valued at around $55,000.
