Ariana White, an eighth grade student at Palm Pointe Educational Research School at Tradition, will serve as a Page for State Representative Gayle Harrell in the upcoming Legislative Delegation session in Tallahassee, March 6-10. The exciting news came in an acceptance letter from Clerk Portia Palmer of the Florida House of Representatives. As a participant in this time-honored program, White will fulfill duties as a Page during committee meetings, House sessions, and press conferences. She will have opportunities to participate in tours of the Capitol, Governor’s Mansion, and other historic sites with other program participants.

What a first rate presentation by Lorena Wilson’s third grade Rising Stars! Students researched a famous Black American using several sources. They also made program guides and actual models of each famous American. Students then presented their oral information using note cards to visiting classes, parents, administration and other special guests. Students became teachers for the afternoon and really demonstrated authentic and intriguing information.
