SLPS IT employees Antonio Vargas and Nile Gentry have both earned their certificate of completion for their apprenticeship training. The pair earned their Cybersecurity Service Technician certificates while working in one of the largest IT facilities at the St. Lucie Public Schools administration facility. SLPS was on display at the St. Lucie County Fair! Schools created their own exhibits with the theme of “Race to Greatness”. The exhibits were judged and cash prizes will be awarded to the winning schools. Congratulations to all! An important Referendum Renewal is on the November ballot.  It provides a school resource officer on every campus to ensure our children’s safety, supports the recruitment and retention of high-quality teachers, expands mental health services for students and supports special programs such as art and music in our schools.   Early voting begins October 24th and runs through November 5th.  Election Day is November 8th.   For more information, please visit Referendum Information – St Lucie Public Schools.   

Congratulations to our Schools of Excellence; Fairlawn Elementary School, Palm Pointe K-8 Educational Research School, and Mosaic Digital Academy! The State Board of Education designates a school as a School of Excellence if the school’s percentage of possible points earned in its school grade calculation is in the 80th percentile or higher for schools comprised of the same grade groupings (elementary, middle, high and combination) for at least two of the last three school years.
