EKG Requirement for Student-Athletes

EKGs are required for first-time high school student athletes in the 2026-27 school year.  Specifically, this requirement applies to students participating in high school athletics for the first time, including incoming 9th-grade student-athletes, and students in grades 10–12 who have not previously participated in an FHSAA-sanctioned sport. Students who have already participated in a high school sport are not required to obtain an EKG at this time; however, obtaining one is strongly recommended as a best practice for student health and safety.
