Allapattah Flats K-8 FFA Celebrates a Year of Excellence

Allapattah Flats K-8 is proud to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of its FFA program during the 2025–2026 school year. Demonstrating excellence in leadership, agricultural education, and student development, the chapter has earned top honors across multiple competitions at the district, county, and state levels.

Student members showcased exceptional performance in Career and Leadership Development Events (CDEs/LDEs), livestock exhibitions, and public speaking.

Highlights of the 2025–2026 School Year Include:

· 1st Place – Preliminary Opening/Closing Ceremonies (2025–2026 Officer Team)

· Market Steer Proficiency Finalist – Top 4 in Florida (Annabelle A.)

· 3rd Place Team – Vegetable Evaluation | 4th Place Individual (Anamaria C.)

· 3rd Place – Prepared Public Speaking (Subdistricts) (Bimini B.)

· 2nd Place Individual – Tool ID (Avery O.) | 6th Place Team

· Top 10 Finishes in State-Level Judging Events, including:

o Horse Judging (6th Place Team; 9th Place Individual)

o Livestock Judging (8th Place Team; 6th Place Individual)

St. Lucie County Fair Success (Historic Achievement):

In a historic milestone for the program, the Allapattah Flats FFA Chapter achieved unprecedented success in the Market Steer Show, earning not one, but two championship titles for the first time in program history:

· Reserve Grand Champion Steer (Annabelle A.)

· Quad County Reserve Champion (Avery O.)

In addition to the two historic Market Steer Show honors, the chapter also earned multiple additional Reserve titles, including Reserve Grand Champion Market Wether (Bimini B.), Reserve Grand Champion Cow/Calf (Annabelle A. & Aubrie T.), and Reserve Grand Champion Steer Carcass (Ly’Nia C.), further demonstrating the strength and consistency of its livestock program.

Florida State Fair & Farm Bureau Recognition:

· Intermediate Beef Champion of Champions (Bimini B.)

· Outstanding Steer Exhibitor (Annabelle A.)

· Outstanding Beef Breeding Exhibitor (Aubrie T.)

Individual Student Excellence:

FFA members earned numerous 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards across showmanship, grooming, and record book categories in:

· Steer

· Beef Breeding

· Goat

· Swine

Looking Ahead: State FFA Convention

The Allapattah Flats FFA Chapter will continue representing St. Lucie County at the Florida FFA State Convention in June 2026, where:

· The Opening and Closing Ceremonies Team will compete following their 1st place preliminary finish.

· Annabelle A. will advance as a Top 4 finalist in Market Steer Proficiency, with final state rankings to be announced.
